I have a plan with ***. I requested to fix my GAS Cooktop. They scheduled a tech with ASTRO APPLIANCE INC. Tech didn't show up and when I call at 832.500.7439, the lady told I canceled my request, which I didn't. And status shows on portal " Service has been Completed". I called again Astro, the lady hang up the phone multiple times. My Tenant got so angry and didn't receive their any service. Then realize it's SCAM. I called *** next day, the lady said she will reach the Tech and update to me but not get any updates since then. Beware the *** and ASTRO APPLIANCE INC both are fraud.Review from Bruce P

They are the most incompetent contractor I have ever dealt with. After two visits by a technician that couldn't even speak English they still haven't fixed the item. They actually damaged it more by taking the switch apart.Review from Jason S

Horrible customer service and absolute poor technician skills. Submitted a service request over a month for a simple refrigerator fix. Was told someone was coming out and they never showed up. I called a to inform Krystle and she said i would have to make a new appointment that was 3 days out. The tech finally shows up and look sat the refrigerator for 2 minutes and says he needs to order a part and would take 5 -7 business days to get here. Fast forward to 6 days later. Tim the technician comes out and "supposedly" fixes the refrigerator. Unfortunately I was not home because I continued take another day off work waiting for them to come fix the issue, so my 76 year mother was there. Tim tells her everything is fixed and leaves. I get home and the refrigerator is not fixed at all. So Tim basically took advantage of an old lady by falsely telling her the he had fixed the issue. Know full well that he had not. What type of person and/or company allows that to happen? I called and spoke with Krystle again and she said there was nothing she could do about it and she had to wait for Tim to get back to the office before anything could be done. Based on this experience and other negative reviews I've seen, I strongly advise caution when dealing with this company. Their business practices are questionable, and I'm surprised they're still operating or being used by home warranty companies. Warning: Beware of their poor service and lack of accountability. They seem to have no problem misleading customers and providing subpar service. They will fuck you over and not think twice about it!!Review from Chuck H

They emailed me and said the work was complete while they never came out. I called and SHE hung up on me. My wife called and SHE hung up on my wife TWICE. I called my home warranty and said DO NOT PAY. Liars and thieves!Review from John S

Negative 5 stars! Worthless "company"! This fly by night "company" does not even deserve a single star unless I can put a negative sign before it. Been out three times at the request of our Warranty Company (**************) - which I suggest all avoid like the plague as well - each time the repairman (******* *** ** *** **** ******* *** **** *** ***** ******* **** ****) was out (3 times) he said a new part was needed each time. On Friday, August 2nd (3rd visit) he said he was going to make a lot of noise trying to get a part out of the washing machine. Well, he annhilated the machine with a mallet to the point of completely breaking it. Said he would file a report to the ************** stating it is beyond repair and needs to be replaced. Nope, still getting the run-a-round from both companies saying a new part has been ordered and would be in on August 20th. A new part for a washing machine beyond repair per the repairman? Who ordered a new part? Either he confused us with someone else or they are lying! So now we are stuck with paying the initial $36 per month fee to **************, along with the initial house call fee of $125 with no resolution other than us paying full price for a new washing machine. I drove down to their Beltway 8/59 location in Houston this morning to get to the bottom of it and the front door is iron gate locked to where you cannot even get to the front door. All representatives from both companies for every single phone (12 calls total) call sound like they are in the heart of Pakistan. Cannot understand a word they say. So, to all....avoid ************** (Home Warranty company) and Astro Appliances like the Bubonic PlagueReview from Keith L

Totally incompetent company. I would give them 0 stars if possible. They came out to repair my icemaker, and said that they had to order a part, after waiting over a month, they then close my work order. I called them many times, and they kept telling me they would look into it and call me back, and they never call back Each time they give me a different excuse but ultimately I paid $100 and they did nothing . Worse consumer experience ever. Similar to the other reviews.
Total idiots. They came to repair ice maker, said they had to order part, they never came back. I called many times, they said they’d call me back and they never do. I paid already paid $100.

Astro Appliance: Do Not Use Astro Appliance, Unless You Enjoy Subzero Service! My quest for a functioning ice maker turned into an arctic exploration of incompetence with Astro Appliance. If negative stars were a thing, Astro Appliance would be drowning in a cosmic void of them. My saga began with a malfunctioning ice maker in my high-tech ******* fridge. Astro Appliance, dispatched by my home warranty company, rolled in with a technician who seemed more interested in a quick fix than a lasting solution. His efforts amounted to a temporary patch, and a month later, my fridge remained stubbornly ice-free. Act II: The Blame Game and the Black Hole of Parts The same technician returned, this time armed with an excuse – a hairline crack might be the culprit in the seal of the ice maker. To investigate further, they hit me with a second service fee just to order a possibly necessary part. Then came the radio silence. For four months, I heard nothing from Astro Appliance, as the part vanished into a black hole of unavailability. Finally, the part arrived, but scheduling an appointment for its installation became a cosmic joke. Despite the ten-minute fix time, the earliest appointment Astro Appliance could offer was a week away. Talk about a slap in the face after months of waiting! My frustration reached supernova levels. Demanding to speak with a manager resulted in a bureaucratic black hole – "email them" was the only answer I was told. Apparently, talking to an actual human is a luxury Astro Appliance doesn't offer. Well, that's when you can actually get them on the phone. Majority of the time its a VM message with false promises of a call back. This entire ordeal is a testament to Astro Appliance's disregard for customer service. Their technicians seem more comfortable with temporary solutions than genuine repairs, and their communication skills are about as effective as a broken phone in outer space. The Takeaway: Customer service as dark as space!Review from Ronald B

Astro Appliance got the order on 4/29. Someone came out, he scribbled his name on it and I can’t read it. He ordered 2 parts, a heating coil to defrost the freezer and the switch to turn off the light. He told me this is why it wouldn’t defrost. When the parts came in they made another appointment to install them. I called Astro and was told the switch was only to let the ice maker work. The service man got it wrong. The service man Alex came out. He brought the 2 parts and installed them, he didn’t give me any paperwork I only know his name from the text message. He did some kind of translation on his phone and it said I would have to wait 5 hours for it to start working. The next morning it still was only at 30 degrees, I put a plastic dish in the freezer with about a 1/4” of water in it and it never froze. I called Astro and was told it would take 24-48 hours for it to freeze. I am now into another weekend with no refrigerator. I called Astro again and asked to speak to a manager or owner and was put off with no resolution. I called AHS on 5/17 and I guess they called Astro and they came out on 5/23, It’s now almost a month without it being fixed. Alex came out again and was here under 15 minuets. He showed me a part and I think he said it was fixed, goodby. I followed him in the garage, I wanted more of a report. He left and got in his car and drove off. The next morning 5/24 I called Astro and told them it wasn’t working. I was told he had 48 hours to put in his report and they couldn’t give me information. We are now into a holiday weekend. Your service people come in cars, they don’t even have the company name on them. I have never got a call from Astro when I asked for a call back. Astro Appliance has been to my home 7 times and each time they say it is another part bad, at least that is what I am told. This can’t be that hard to diagnose, it’s just a refrigerator. I am now in day 67 without a refrigerator! Today is 7/2/2024Review from Lily K

This company deserves 0 Stars! It was sent by ****** under my warranty program to address an issue of valve leaking. They technician who came pulled out the dishwasher and noted problem with the outside of the dishwasher and seemed to understand the problem. He said that he would go file a report to get our dishwasher fixed. Today I got an email from the warranty company saying that Astro Appliance had said that the repairs were complete and my service had been completed. No one ever contacted me to come and fix anything with the dishwasher. This company just lied to the insurance company saying that a repair was completed when in fact nothing was done. When I called them to complain about it, the lady who answered told me that I had not taking a video showing the issue with the dishwasher and therefore they couldn't do anything. This is not customer service. This company operates on the basis of lying to the insurance company telling them that a job is completed when in fact it is not!Review from Donald H

This contractor took over 50 days to work on my dryer. They never completed the work and submitted a report to my warranty company stated that all repairs were complete but the dryer was just making a noise. This was after telling me the unit was non repairable and they would submit a report to my warranty company stated so. This would have allowed me reimbursement a portion on my new dryer. They refuse to correct this report and the employees are afraid to speak up against the company for fear of retribution. There is also no hierarchy of contact. You can only speak to the answering service and you will never get a manager call back.
