On March 23, 2022, I went to ****** ********************* to reserve a brush chipper for April 15th. *************************** opened an account for me and made the reservation. Since I don't have a phone, he took my e-mail address and said he would e-mail if he needed to reach me. I called my sons and grandsons (my crew) and hired them to help me that day. They all live out of town and it's not easy to get them together.On April 12th I returned to ****** Rental to confirm that a chipper would be available that Friday. An assistant told me the reservation was active and there should be no problem.On April 15th my crew arrived. A son called ****** to see if a chipper had been returned, so we could pick it up as early as possible. He was told that a customer had decided to keep it longer and they had no chipper available. My son reminded him of my reservation and the assistant said there was nothing he could do if a customer decides to keep it longer than he had agreed to. ****** Rental had not e-mailed to notify me. On Monday, April 18th, I went back to ****** to express my displeasure with their failure to honor my reservation. I talked to the assistant but was told ******* wouldn't be back from vacation until the 25th.On April 25th, this morning, I talked to ***************************. He seemed to find no merit to my complaint. He said his "hands are tied" if a customer decides to keep a piece of equipment longer. I suggested he mention to a customer that the piece he's rented is reserved and must be returned by a given date. ******* said that would be bad for business. I asked him if his failure to honor my reservation was good for business.You might think twice before doing business with ******************************************************. They don't seem to understand the concept of doing what they say.
