I signed up for the full $20,000 package. I put $5,000 down and took a loan for the rest. I was paying on time every month. Which was $521.00 a month $200.00 of that was going straight to interest through their in house financing. What they didn't tell me was that they wanted an additional $200.00 a month on top of that to attend their Thursday night class which I was going to until they told me they wanted me to learn how to start selling their "education" to other people which I didn't want to do I was just there for real estate. After I told them that my mentor cut all communication with me. Not only that but when the president ordered all student loans to be stopped until September of 2021 they still continued to charge me interest the whole time I've gained $2,000 just in interest and now they're saying they're not a collage or education center even though I was able to claim them as a student loan on my taxes. They are crooks!! The only people making money are the people that have been making money. I want nothing to do with them and I'm going to warn as many people as I possibly can to stay away from this scam they're running. Renatus only cares about bringing more people in to buy their "education" but they want call it education when the president orders student loan payments to stop. These guys are vultures!! Joining them has been the worst decision I've ever made in my life. I want the rest of my debt owed gone entirely and want nothing else to do with these scam artists aka "Renatus" especially since I was just below 8,000 and now its back up to over 10,000 I've easily paid 5,000 just in interest.Business response

To whom it may concern,
Thank you for the opportunity to respond. The situation with ****** ***** has already been resolved. With a few phone calls and a willingness to find clarity, we have been able to understand, address, and satisfactorily found resolution. To shed some additional light on the situation, here is a summary of Renatus, Mr. *****’s history with us, and a concluding response to the complaint filed.
Renatus is an online education company focused on creating Real Estate investors. We offer a wide assortment of online classes that are conducted by practitioner instructors. We pride ourselves on offering a ‘nuts and bolts’ approach to investing in Real Estate. We love helping people learn how to conduct honest, ethical, and profitable transactions while showing them the many potential risks involved. We are not, nor have we ever been, an accredited institution. We offer no licenses, no degrees, and no certifications of any kind. We teach regular people how to invest in real estate.
Our classes are recorded live and then uploaded for online viewing at the convenience of our customers. The prices are set, and our customers enjoy a 12-month redemption period and complimentary lifetime access after that. Any re-recordings, updates, or additions that we make to any classes in the packages purchased are delivered at no additional cost! Also included in the purchase of all Essentials or AIT Xtream Plus packages is an invitation to a weekly National study group.
Mr. ***** purchased our Essentials education February 2nd 2019. He purchased a second education package, AIT Xtream, on February 20th 2019. Per the signed order agreements, both education packages were available to cancel within 7 days of purchasing. These signed agreements also include proof of product purchase, proof of product delivery, and proof of refund policy acceptance.
Each customer chooses how to pay for their purchase. They have used a variety of avenues to get access to the Renatus education. Mr. ***** created a relationship with Universal Finance and used their services to pay for his purchase. The agreements he signed with them made it clear that the financing he received was a personal loan and had no relation to Renatus. Also, the loan he received from Universal Finance was not any kind of school loan. All payments he made to them were subject to the agreements they created.
Our support team (affectionately referred to as customer advocates) called Mr. ***** on February 18th, 2019, to welcome him to Renatus. We reached out to see if he had any questions or concerns as well as offer any guidance or support through our proprietary software. Our support agent walked Mr. ***** through his login and how to access the education. He also gave guidance on what was included in the packages Mr. ***** purchased, as well as how to reach the customer advocates when he needed any help.
He was then contacted again by our customer advocate on May 2, 2019. Customers receive a 3-month follow-up call to ensure they are enjoying their purchase. He let us know that things were going well, and he is happy with his education purchase.
Mr. ***** called us on January 22, 2020. He requested details about Universal Finance, the company with which he had chosen to fund his purchase. He inquired about his balance with Universal and he was provided their contact information. He was also directed where to find his signed order agreement.
Mr. ***** called into our customer advocacy team on June 2, 2020 to get Universal Finances contact information again.
Mr. ***** emailed and called into the team on July 20, 2020 asking to have his monthly payment with Universal Finance deferred. Universal Guardian is separate from Renatus. We were able to petition them on his behalf and were able to work with the Universal team to defer his monthly payment 90 days.
As we have now taken greater opportunity to serve and support Mr. ***** it has come to our attention that his concern was never the quality of our product. As we resolved his concerns, he expressed gratitude for our willingness to serve and continue to support him. We are moving forward with Mr. ***** and are privileged to do so.
With kind regards,
J. S****
Renatus – Vice President of Operations
