Bartile finished replacing my roof in May 2022. The roof still has not passed city inspection. Additionally, Bartile caused significant damage to my porch and attic during the roofing job that they are refusing to deduct from the remaining owed.

We finished the job in 1 day and the city couldn't make it out in time to inspect the sheeting before we dried it in and finished the roof. The city came out and inspected the roof and it passed except for the sheeting inspection. We had an appmt next week to do the sheeting inspection with the city but the homeowner won't be home until Jan 9th so we rescheduled it. The homeowner has only paid us for 1/3 of the roof and when we finished had never complained about any damage or any issues. In fact he called multiple times and said how wonderful it was. After 2 months of not getting paid we reached out to him and he brought up $5K in damages that he never told us about before. We are willing to address any damage that we actually caused but the amount he wants and the fact that he never told us about it is absurd. We also referred a gutter guy to him and he never paid the gutter guy a dime for the whole job.Customer response

I am rejecting this response because:Bartile blames the city for not inspecting the roof during the install that was finished on May 27th. However, Bartile didn’t even obtain the building permit until May 31st as is verified with the SLC Building Permit website.
