My dad ordered glasses in August at their **** branch. Never received his order and now turns out they are all closed. How can they take peoples money knowing they arent going to honor their commitments?!?Review from Amy W

We ordered contacts in August of 2023 and still have not received them over a year later! We call every month and are assured that they will be here in a few weeks. We still have not received them. After looking at reviews it appears they are still collecting money and making orders when they have orders from over a year ago that have not been met. Absolutely ridiculous!Review from Brenda L

I ordered glasses 1/5/24 and then ordered contacts. To date I have not received my correct lens order. The first lens came as a lined bifocal, was sent back to the lab. When I received the lens back I was having trouble seeing fuzzy for distance and couldnt see up close with my bifocals. There was a space in my bifocals where I could see distance better than the upper part of the lens. I was called that the lens were in 2 weeks ago. Went to take my frames to replace lens and they were CLOSED! I have been extremely patient to that point. They are jeopardizing my eyesight and am furious. This is not a supply issue now I NEED my lens!Review from Darrell V

Have been a customer for nearly 20 years. Had my annual exam on 7/16/2024. My lenses needed to be replaced. The order was placed and the associate told me of a pending change with lens manufacturer. The prescription could **** * to 8 weeks. All phone lines to the store were either disconnected or not answered. A physical trip resulted in a sign posted on the door. The phone number given eventually resulted in a voice-mail that 4 days later has yet to be returned.Review from Tara W

To all Standard Optical customers! Sadly & frustrating after waiting for 6 weeks for my glasses, that when I called & havent been able to get a hold of anyone at the store and went by yesterday to see it was closed during business hours. I called my insurance and they have told me that all stores are closed due to bankruptcy!! I was able to have them cancel the order and will go somewhere else. Now off to my bank to dispute charges on my credit card.Review from Michael G

I've been waiting 6 months almost 7 for my contacts and glasses instead of giving me a discount for any inconvenience they leave me hanging they keep lying to me about when I'm getting the product I payed for some are ignorant and they still don't know about my order DO NOT ORDER FROM THESE COWARDSReview from Zachary S

No contact lenses 2 months after they were ordered. They will respond to this and say there is a "supply chain issue", but check the receipts. People who made orders in 2023 had the same problem. That's not a supply chain issue any more - it's a company competence and reliability issue. Standard Optical fails by any measure. Even without the contacts I haven't received, I can clearly see that this is a business that needs to close its doors. Do yourself a favor and take your business elsewhere.Review from Ryan G

Something needs to be done. Ordered 2 pair of glasses and contacts. Was told it would be 7 days for contacts, no 7 days, made 8 trips to ***** for loaners. No glasses yet. ****** later we cancelled contact order, cancelled one pair of glasses, received 1 pair 2 months later, they had the wrong lenses, and now told it may be months for new lenses they ordered 1 month ago. So this pair of glasses is over a year now. This is unacceptable ! We paid nearly 2000 for all this and no working glasses yet. Dishonest business.

Ordered glasses in November got them in April. Waited all this time and when I finally got them,they were the wrong prescription looking to file a class action lawsuit. This business has no business being in business!!!Standard Optical Company Response
