We contracted this company to install siding on our home. After mis-measuring the home 3 times, and running out of materials multiple times, we finally thought the job was complete. Shortly after the job was completed, my husband and I found certain areas of the siding that were not anchored correctly and the pieces starting falling, causing exposure to the house, also an area was bulging because it was not installed correctly. Then we found that they had bent some of the aluminum around one of our windows, causing bees to have access to the facia board. Also, we have a light on the back porch that has not worked since the siding was installed because they capped the wire and they were going to send out their electrician. It is now a year since the work has been completed and after numerous calls, nothing has been done. I have had to initiate every call to this company. I guess they think that we will forget about the repairs that need to be done. I am very disappointed about the workmanship and lack of professionalism with this company.

Business Response /* (1000, 9, 2022/03/09) */ Contact Name and Title: *** ******* Contact Phone: XXX-XXX-XXXX Contact Email: *********************@hotmail.com Initially during the ordering of materials there a small miscalculation resulting in some additional siding needing to be ordered, also some cut and waste mistakes made our installer shorted some siding that we were able to get up in Richmond; unfortunately that can be a part of the installation process but all work is exterior and we kept the customer informed throughout the process. Mr **** did call about a month and half, 3/29/2021, after we completed and finalized the siding replacement contract in 2020, in regards to some jchannel not being flush allowing bees behind the siding, bowed out jchannel and a gap. We did schedule an installer to come out as quickly as we can, as the customer wanted to be home during the assessment and were not available for a weekday morning and had to reschedule the assessment due to their schedule changes. Assessment, in May, determined that we needed to change some jchannel and take care of some siding that would be covered under their installation warranty because the adjustments were necessary for a proper professional siding job. In order to take care of the repairs we needed to order some additional materials; customer was informed that materials were not available to order at that time and hopefully in the future, we saw this with roofing and took a bit under a year to open back up completely, as due to raw material shortages siding manufacturers have cut out some colors, sizes and styles in their production line. On 8/3/2021 Mrs **** did call in regards to shake siding buckling. We did set an installer to assess on 8/27 during the time she was available to walk around with them. From my understanding from the installer out, he took care of the repairs needed that day to the shake. On 9/7/2021 customer mentioned their back porch light was not working. They were informed that we will check the light connections as we do not change any wiring during a siding install. Their porch light is removed while siding is installed in the area and then the porch light is reconnected to the existing wires, they might have to contact an electrician if the light was reconnected properly. Mr **** showed at time of finalizing contract payment and receipt that his electricity was a bit haywire as he had outlets he could not get to work and tried every switch in his home, some switches not leading to anything that he could find. At the time also we updated that the siding is still not available but we will inform them as soon as it opens up so we can complete some repairs. On 12/20/2021 we received notice of more siding being available for ordering, ****'s siding made the list, so it was ordered and our customer was updated with the good news and that it would be expected to arrive in approximately 8-16 weeks. Once the materials arrive we will work the repair into the schedule. They also made mention again that the back porch light was still not working and that the shake at the peak was buckling/not secured and have found some additional small areas of concern so I did say we will address everything at one time once the siding arrives. Customer did call in January 2022 to see if we can repair the shake siding and other areas where we did not need the materials ordered. January 26, 2022 I did update the customer that the siding had not arrived quite yet and I will touch base in another month with an update. On 2/24/2022, Mrs **** called to see about the repairs on her home, she called us prior to us getting to the month update time. On calling our supplier to just check if they received materials yet, they informed they arrived on the truck today and we had not been notified yet as they just checked all the material in off the truck. So we scheduled the repair for Saturday, 3/5/2022 since we had an installer working on Saturday for additional hours. Unfortunately he changed his mind since something came up with his family, as we are typically Monday through Friday, so we did contact Mrs **** Friday to inform we have to change the repair date. We set my head siding installer, Karl whom has been with us since 1993, for Friday, 3/11/2022 weather permitting. As always intended, we will take care of any cosmetic issues so there is a professional finish and install issues since we have received materials as we back our installation warranty 100%. If Karl determines he needs additional materials, we will get them on order immediately so we can get things scheduled once materials arrive again. At that time Karl will also look at the light to make sure the wire connection to the light is not loose, as customer was already informed if there something wrong with the wire itself they may have to contact an electrician.
