I contracted on July 20, 2023 to have a fence installed by Lion's Fence on Wednesday, August 9, 2023. I signed the contract and paid a 50% check deposit ($1,072.50). I sought information from Lion's Fence about the details of the installation (arrival time, etc.). and received no replies to emails, phone messages, text messages, etc. I sent multiple messages again this morning and received a reply after stating that I would be reaching out to others about this matter. The owner stated he is out of state in ******* for a family matter and would not be able to complete the contract as scheduled. I asked if we could please cancel the contract and if I could be refunded. He said yes and would refund "when I get back." I have no idea what this means and asked if he could do so immediately or electronically and have received no further reply. I contacted my bank about the matter (as the check was cashed in July). Any help in this regard is appreciated.Customer response

3/25/19 I hired Lions to install a new fence and it was installed at the beginning of April.9/12/19 I emailed because the side gate was leaning and the back gate was not lined up correctly and included pictures. They responded the same day saying that would "get someone out to take care of the ASAP"10/7/19 I emailed to follow up and they said they never received the pictures.10/28/19 they said I was on the schedule for that day to come fix which they did 6/2/20 I emailed to say the gates were leaning and crooked again and sent pictures 6/23/20 I emailed because I never received a response to my email on 6/2/20 6/23/20 they emailed me back to tell me they would get me on the warranty/repairs list 8/13/20 I emailed to follow up 9/28/20 I emailed to follow up 10/6/20 I emailed to follow up 10/30/20 I emailed because someone had been out to fix the gates, but the back one was not repaired. Pictures were included.11/3/20 I emailed with pictures from the original email from 9/12/19 because they said they said it was due to wood warp. The pictures show that it was like that shortly after the fence was installed.11/3/20 they said they would come out and take a look 11/4/20 they set up a meeting for 11/11/20 11/20/20 they emailed to change the appointment date to 11/24/20 They never came out but spoke to them by phone and they agreed to replace the gate.4/27/21 I emailed to ask them when they were coming to replace the gate as they committed to doing that 5/3/21 they emailed to ask if this was for a rehang and I responded that it was for a gate replacement 6/3/21 I emailed to follow up on the work and to report that the other gate was leaning again 6/16/21 I emailed to follow up 8/4/21 I emailed to follow up 8/4/21 they emailed to say they thought it had already been done and would get back to me asap with a solution 9/15/21 I emailed to follow up 9/11/21 I emailed to follow up 1/11/22 I emailed to follow up Gate replacement or $500 for me to replace is desired.
