On April 18, 2024, I left my 2014 Honda Accord with NRV Lube Plus for a transmission fluid flush. The next day, I they called informing me that my vehicle would need a new transmission due to considerable damage. The mechanic informed me that he only noticed cracks in the transmission fluid drain housing after he began working on it. At his suggestion, I filed a personal insurance claim. **** awarded a me policy payout, considering the damage to be that of a single vehicle accident. They provided me with the cost of a transmission replacement. At this point, NRV Lube Plus ordered a transmission to complete the repair, but did not prioritize or schedule the installation, since they claimed they were booked for the next several weeks. After calling multiple times over the next several weeks, I was finally told that my Accord could be picked up one month later on May 20, 2024. After picking up my vehicle from NRV Lube Plus, I noticed that it was only getting 27 miles per gallon, compared to the normal 30. The car also struggled to get into gear. As I departed for a business trip to **********, I realized that it would no longer go into gear to back out of my driveway; it was suddenly not drivable. I contacted NRV Lube Plus for further assistance, and reluctantly agreed to split the cost to have my car towed back to their shop. This seemed unfair to me, since the repair hadn't been done properly. Once I got my car back over 3 weeks later on June 11, 2024, I took it to the ****** ***** service department in *************** ** to have the work on my car inspected by a licensed technician. I was told that while the installation was complete, there was a problem with the oil pump in the transmission itself. They suggested that I take the vehicle back to NRV Lube Plus to replace the transmission again. At this point, I no longer feel comfortable having them work on my vehicles. As such, I seek a full refund for the amount I paid for the inadequate repair work performed.
