On July ******* I took my iPad to the **** Cellphone Repair store in *************. I needed to have the touchscreen replaced as it was non-responsive in several areas. When I received the item back the Touch ID button was no longer working. I took it back to the same location, I got a story about how sometimes they cant get the correct replacement button from their suppliers. I took the unit there for a screen repair, the button was in working condition, I dont know what caused them to also replace the button. If they could not get the correct parts they should have never begun the repair. Instead they replaced the screen knowing that the button would not work. I was not informed of this before the repair started. Even though they offered me a one hundred dollar discount I still feel cheated since they obviously do not know what they are doing and have no idea how to get my iPad Touch ID button working again. I still feel that they had no business even trying the repair without warning me that the unit would no longer have full functionality. I originally paid them $601.56 which was reduced to $501.56. I still want the unit fixed so that the button will work as intended.
