In May of this year we contracted through Kings Charter for 4 buses to take *************Middle School from Granville Ohio to Washington DC. This trip was from May 16 - 19. Before the trip began we paid for the buses. ********************* at Kings Charter was our contact for this transaction. He told us that we would pay Kings Charter directly for the driver gratuity. This is out of the ordinary as we typically pay drivers directly. They asked for $1500/driver which is absurd. Our company tips very well and a rate of $100/day is good. We told them that was way too high and eventually they agreed to $600/driver. We paid them $2400 and we have proof of this payment. During the trip I asked the drivers if they had been paid since we were suspicious. None of them had been paid. After the trip we contacted *********************. He told it us it had been wired and should be in their accounts the next day. It wasn't. We contacted them again and again were told the same thing. So I followed up again the next day. Still no payment. I contacted ****** about a half dozen times over the course of the next couple of weeks and got a different story each time. Finally they told me it had been paid to another party and I would need to contact them to find out why it hadn't been paid. I asked for that person's info and ****** told me he would email it to me as soon as we got off the phone. I never got it. I called the next day and he told me he couldn't share it since it was confidential. We have continued to contact ****** but he has now blocked our phone calls. Kings Charter stole $2400 from us as well as the drivers it was intended for. I have the names and numbers of our drivers and they can all confirm they have not been paid their gratuity. I am attaching the email from Kings Charter asking for $2400 as well as the invoice for the $2400. We can also provide proof of payment of the $2400 if you so request.
