      on 6/29/2023 we signed a contract with commonwealth roofing llc to replace our roof. they sent a crew out to do the work on 8/15/2023. on 8/16/2023 the sales rep came by to pick up the check for the roof and he was paid in full. at this time i showed him the trash, scrap metal, shingles, water bottles and plastic left in our yard by the work crew. i also showed him ( **** ***** ) several shingles that didnt look right. he agreed with me, took pictures and assured me someone would come out and fix them. at this time i also showed him damage to our handrail leading up to our front porch and questioned why pieces of plastic were sticking up out of the shingles all over the roof. he said they would eventually blow off, this may very well be, but its sloppy. on 8/17/2023 someone did come by and pick up the trash from our yard but nothing was done about the shingles. in the meantime we also discovered a damaged downspout, with tar staining practically the whole length of it and a chunk knocked out of the asphalt rain guard in front of our garage. 8/22/2023 i sent Bob Long an email detailing the issues and requesting he let us know when someone would be out. he didnt respond so 8/24/2023 i called Bob Long and left a voicemail. **** ***** called me 8/25/2023 said he would be here mon or tues. he came friday 9/1/2023. again promising to have someone out to fix the shingles add to which i showed him the cap of the roof that has a chunk missing or what appears to be a large #5 drawn on it and the shingle on the peak cap has begun to curl under itself in a tube shape. its been 4 weeks and no one has come out to fix the issues or called to let us know when that might be. we paid for the roof in full the day after it was installed, per the agreement, however, commonwealth roofing, per our agreement has not lived up to their end, which was to properly install a roof on our home and to leave our property in the condition they found it. it was sloppy work and very unprofessional.

      Ms. *******,Commonwealth Roofing Specialists LLC will make a fifth attempt to satisfy your roofing needs as soon as the weather will allow us to do so and will continue to service the ten year workmanship warranty that you were given as part of your contract.       Commonwealth Roofing installed a metal roof and gutters on my cabin towards the end of 2021. In March of 2023 I notice leaks on the front porch as well as along the gutters where rain was getting between the gutters and the facia. I contacted the company and got in touch with the owner Bob. He said he would schedule a crew to come out in the next week or two and repair the issues and get back to me of when it would take place. In most cases he never got back to me so I had to reach out to him to see what was going on. This happened several times between the initial time of the complaint and August 16th, 2023. I finally told him if he did not get a crew out to the repairs, I would file a complaint and get a lawyer. With that he finally committed to sending a crew out in May 2023 to do the repairs. The crew shows up and I get a text stating the repairs are done. I go to the cabin a couple of week later while it was raining, and the issues are still there. I send him a text and tell him the repairs did not resolve the issues. He sends another crew out the start of June and I was told the issues were resolved again. I go up about a week later while it was raining to find out the issues were not resolved. I reach back out to him and ask him why they are trying to band aid the issue rather than fixing it correctly because in the long run it is going to cost him more money to put a band aid on the issues rather doing it correctly. He agreed they could do this if that is what it took. Since then, he has told me a number of times he will send someone up and make sure the issues are resolved. Again, he states he will get back to me. Well again I have to follow-up with him, and he always comes up with a reason why something did not happen. My last interaction with him was June 19th and that he was trying to get someone to fix the issues. It is now Aug 16th 2023, nearly a month later and I have yet to hear anything from him. Most of these interactions I have through text.

      I have reviewed the response offer made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.I spoke to the owner August 24th. He assured me he would call me August 25th with a date for the repairs. Conversion went like all other conversations and then no follow through. Company sent out another crew to make the repairs as he promised. Repairs did not resolve the issue but things are better. Sent owner a text Sept 17th to let him know there are still issues. He responded, “I’ll send them back this week”. Nothing from owner until October 9th, I had to reach out to him for an update. He states “I’m working on that today, I should have them out by the end of this week if not sooner”. Nothing since and I assume the repairs have not been done. This is the 4th or 5th time he will have to send a crew out to make the repairs. I suggested, he should meet the last crew at the cabin to make sure the repairs were done correctly be he declined.
