In May 2022, this contractor provided us with a quote for work to be done on our property. Despite asking for a start date, project time line, this was never provided. Eventually some of the work was done but not all. We paid him more than 50% as a down payment on this bid with only two out of three projects being completed by him. He did an additional job for us and is now asking for additional payment when by our records, he was significantly overpaid for the two projects that were already done. We have asked for an itemized bill for the original project but have not received this despite asking repeatedly over the last three months. On Monday, June 19, he had agreed to send the invoices but has yet to do so. I have attached the original quotes, as well as some of our correspondence with him since the original agreement was made. We also have text messages if needed. the original invoices are ****, ****, and ****. the newest invoice for the additional work is ****.Business response

We scheduled a meeting with **** and her husband for yesterday (8/8/2023). I had a good meeting with her husband, **** did not come to the meeting. We went over all the invoices in detail that shows the work completed and the balance left. We came to an agreed amount for the completed work and her husband gave me a check. He was satisfied with the work and had no complaints. He apologized for his wife leaving the BBB complaint.This is not a valid complaint.Customer response

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me. I will wait for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved.This email is in connection with the above complaint number. My husband met with Mr. ****** and they reached an equitable agreement regarding the billing issue. While this is now resolved, I will say that some of the other issues regarding our dealings with this business have been challenging to say the least. The work he does is good but he is not reliable nor does he communicate well. The fact that I had to send him a scathing e-mail and complain to the BBB to get a response from him should say something about how he conducts business. Thanks for your help Regards, **** *****
