On 18 July/2024 I ordered one bra camisole, one chambray camisole, and a dress from April Cornell Canada's website. I wrote an email on 18 July telling them they charged me for 2 bra camisoles. They emailed back on 19 July "Confirming 2 Charming Bra Camisoles in Medium were purchased at the time your order ****** was placed." They charged me for four items, plus postage, for a total of $229.90. Then April Cornell wrote that there were no chambray camisoles and refunded the money for that item.I returned the two bra camisoles to April Cornell on 21 August/2024 and they were delivered on 23 August/2024. The amount due to me is $67.80 including tax.I still have not received the refund from them, or store credit, or acknowledgement of the return.I previously made a complaint to the BBB ID#********, about this order. April Cornell was not cooperative at that time, either.They have a D rating on the BBB *********** April Cornell is back at it, and having provided ongoing poor service, is now going further by not refunding my money.Business response

I understand that by choosing to accept the business response that my complaint will be closed as resolved.Accepting the refund due to me does not mean that I believe that April Cornell acted in a reputable customer service manner. They caused me a great deal of trouble and aggravation due to their substandard customer service. I had to open complaints twice with the BBB as well as a dispute through my credit card company, in order to get the refunds owed to me. Shameful.

I was sent a nightgown with rust stains on it-it also looked like it had possibly been washed,returned to the company and then sent to me. There is NO customer service, they will not return calls I have left 4 messages. They do not return emails. Very frustrating as I have purchased many items from this company over the years and now for whatever reason have no ability to get an issue resolved due to their abysmal customer service. **********the following was emailed to me regarding my order. The customer reached out on July 30th, 2024 concerning a damaged/stained item which had been purchased online on July 18. On August 2nd we replied via email requesting pictures of the perceived damage to review, which they provided. The pictures were reviewed and on August 5th it was determined there was indeed damage to the original garment and the course of resolution was to send a replacement. On August 5th the customer thanked us in response. The replacement item shipped from our warehouse on August 7th and was delivered on August 13th.Initial Complaint

I had made a purchase of two dresses on the April Cornell website on May 26th. After getting the two dresses they did not fit properly I wanted to return the dresses for an exchange I had called several times lefted messages without no return phone calls. I had also emailed the company at that time also to see the procedure as to how to ship them back for an exchange. After getting no response on the call back or the email I took it upon myself to just return the two dresses. Still waiting for the original phone call back that I never received. After about 2 1/2 weeks ,I had received a email from them stating how I could return them for an exchange. I had returned them with a shipping label as stated on the website. It has been well over 4 weeks and since I mailed them back in the tracking said that you received my return on the 10th of June. I have not received an email that they have received my return when or when to expect my refund. I just want some kind of communication on their part. It's hard to believe that this company is still in business I have read the reviews of other customers and I'm not happy with the with their customer service I'm not happy with the communication of the company I will never buy from this company again and I will tell people do not buy from them. They have stated to me in their emails that they are overwhelmed with it being a busy time of year....I don't care hire more workers and STOP taking more orders deal with the ones you have already! You have enough people to process my payment.Still waiting it's been 4 weeks!Customer response

I made a purchase on 5/29/24 for 3 items and my order was missing 1 of the 3 items. I emailed the business with no response. I also called the phone number listed on their website and was kept on hold for awhile until it automatically hung up. There has been no call back or response to my email. This matter was resolved on July 16th with an email response to customer that we have issued a replacement order for the missing Garden Party Dress on new order ******, which was not available at that time and has since shipped on July 19th with tracking number 1Z153F1YYW97543426. I ordered a caftan as a gift from this company. It ended up being too large for the recipient. I printed off return label placed article back in original packaging and followed return policy directions, and mailed back to company. I never received any correspondence from them, got no return payment on my credit card or any kind of response. I have been trying to contact them through their customer service phone number for over two weeks. Nobody will ever answer. I have held on until it automatically hangs up countless times. I have left several messages for a callback. I cant reach anybody in any way to try to resolve this issue. They took my $98.99 and I am left with nothing.Initial Complaint

I returned an Order a Month ago I have had no communication nor a refund. They do not answer phones, emails nor messages. I have attempted numerous times to reach them. They owe me over $200.00 refund I paid through PayPal and I fear its a scamBusiness response

The customer was issued a refund of $203.40 back on the 3rd of June once her return was processed through our system. It takes approximately 3 weeks for a return to arrive get processed and refunded. No further action is required.Initial Complaint

Spent over $400 on dresses more than one month ago. It took a while to ship and now that we received them I need to return 2 and get credit for 2. I've left 4 voice-mails, several emails and still call and remain on hold. I called 2. 5 weeks ago and NO call back, email anything! Are you purposely ignoring us? What if we miss your "30 day deadline" because you refuse to respond? What happened to your customer service? That many calls and emails and no reply at all over 2.5 weeks is ridiculous. We feel we are being ripped off and manipulated.Business response

Please let April Cornell know I should not have to pay for shipment back to you after all this time. Please email me a shipping label that can be tracked. Also when will I get my refund? It should not take 30 days or more. I'd also like a full refund on the items since I don't believe or see how they will be able to ship me items "with credit" within a month or two even. Thanks for your help.

Order ****** - total amount $139.16 I placed this order on April 28, 2024. April Cornell charged my *********** credit card for $139.16 the next day April 29, 2024. I have heard nothing from them about shipping information and it's been one week. I've tried calling them and e-mailing. They don't respond. They claim they're busy and behind. I'm a customer and deserve more than they're too busy. Why not try hiring more employees. I don't know how to find out what's happened, has the item been shipped, are they only capable of collecting my money but don't have time to supply the product. So having run out of ways to try to communicate with this poor excuse for a company, I'm turning to you. I'm disappointed but have decided the best choice is to request an immediate refund to my *********** credit card, and cancel this order. *************************Business response

We apologize that you have had to wait to receive your product. We are a small family owned company and are at our busiest time of year with big season end sales. We understand your frustration and while it sounds easy to just hire employees we have not been lucky in finding employees like a lot of other companies. We do have ads out constantly and our doing the best we can. I see your items are shipping today May 8th on tracking 1Z153F1Y0397066379 and will be leaving the building today. I ordered a dress online on April 4 which I received an email confirmation that the order was received. Its been three weeks and I have not received the shipping confirmation email or received any response from April Cornell customer support services even after I attempted to contact them through several phone calls and emails! My **** was charged the day I made the order and I have not received the merchandise.
