      Request:full refund ($5,340 deposit paid10/7/22) from WoodstockKB(W).W not only delayed our project 7mos after they lost their designer but then insisted we repay $1500 to have our kitchen remeasured & 1st draft layout redone a 2nd time due to their delay or forfeit 1/2 our deposit.While we had to delay our 2nd mtg w/the designer Oct22 for 7wks due to a serious medical issue, the designer was out of the country for 2 of these wks & then moved out-of-state/was not readily available for in-person mtgs which we preferred.Soon after(12/7/22 &again 1/17/23) W notified us that they would have to significantly delay our project for 7mos until mid-June23 because they had lost their designer &were short-staffed:unfortunately at this time due to limited bandwidth,we are fully committed to active projects for the next couple of mos until we secure a new designer.If you are willing,we will keep you on our list,but please know it could be a few mos before we can get things moving forward.again I do apologize for this inconvenience.* is no longer w/us. our latest plan looks like our designer will be able to begin working w/you &designing your project mid-June. Instead of complaining we agreed to wait & never indicated we needed a further delay due to medical issues:1/17,30 &2/1/23:Yes we are still interestedx2;Yes we are flexible on dates so we can probably work w/your schedule.W only emailed us 5/15/23 to set up an initial mtg w/the newly hired designer.All correspondence clearly indicated W wasnt ready to work w/us until June. Its regrettable that W is blaming their 7mos delay (due to staff shortages)on an unrelated medical issue last fall &using that as an excuse to double charge us or keep 1/2 our deposit.Had we known 12/7/22 what we were just told 5/22/23-that we would have to repay the measurement/1st design fee if we were willing to wait for W to restaff after losing their designer-we would have pulled out then, same as other customers did who got a full refund.
