Green Mountain Concrete, owned and run by *************************, was supposed to complete a stamped concrete deck around a pool in the spring of 2021, which was delayed. I paid ****************** $5,000, $6,000, and $2,500. He was UNRELIABLE and never answered phone messages, texts, or emails. He continuously CANCELLED WORK and my yard and pool area has been a DISASTER for a year and four months. I finally gave up after losing two seasons of using my pool and recently hired someone else, who began work immediately. My pool liner was not leaking, but it was attached to a coping that ***** broke up when removing the concrete. I intended to have it replaced when the area was prepared, but he never came back, and soon, it was too cold, and by the spring, the liner had hardened, not having the security of the coping, and needed to be replaced as well as the coping. Thousands of dollars more than expected has to be spent. The cost to complete this entire project is much higher than had it been finished in 2021, because prices have gone up and there was damage. This has been a financial, physical, visual, and emotional DISASTER. I am writing to BBB to ask that ****************** refund $2,549 for the liner, $125 to dispose the liner, 1/2 installation fee, $1,624. Half was to replace the coping. Half was to replace the liner. Because ****************** broke up the concrete, lake water from underground is causing damage to the sides of the pool. He also left the entire side of my house filled with gravel to get his trucks down and promised to repair and reseed it, but never came back for which i am asking $1,500 to fix. I am not asking anything for stress and the higher cost to complete this project. However, I would never have to incur higher costs for everything in 2022, or purchase a new liner, if the job had been completed in 2021. I am asking that ***** refund $5,798. ***** refused to give me a contract.Customer response

I have not heard from the business in response to my complaint. I hired *************************, who is the main employee of Green Mountain Concrete, in 2021 to replace an older, damaged, cement deck around a pool. He dug up my backyard and it has remained a mess for over a year, and *************, coming down from the front of the house is also damaged. ****************** covered that large lawn area with stones to get his truck to the pool area. He canceled appointments over a dozen times over the next year. The last promise was that he would be here at my house on July 5, 2022. Once again, he never showed up, never emailed, or called. I called ******************, left messages, and texted at least two dozen times, but he never responded. I finally fired him this past month, and it is costing me thousands more to finish the deck than it would have cost last year. ****************** took advantage of me, as a senior woman, giving me one excuse after the other, never showed up when he said he would be here, and I have not heard from him.
