    I was picked up by ***** after he received a call from a cop to pick me up from the street after my car had broken down. They quickly told me they couldn't find any shops that could fix my car, but they'd tow it to ** for me. Which I now believe is a ploy to get more $$. This was not my car, it was a friend's who rented it to me. Being in a bind, and only option, I agreed. ***** took me to the rental car place to get another car and took pictures of my credit card, told me he'd drop the car off on Monday night. Told me he wouldn't charge me for today if we allow them to tow it to **. I still tipped him for his service that day thinking he was so kind and accommodating to help me out.On Monday I received a call from ***** and he spoke to my husband about the *** roads and best way to get here. That is the last communication we had from him. The owner of the car reached out to me said he couldn't get a hold of him. I called a few times and realized my calls were being sent straight to voicemail and rejected as well. As the day progressed I text and called and no response. Then my calls wouldn't even go through, I was blocked. He never showed up on Monday, and didn't return any of my calls. ***** had already given me the number to the shop so I called the next day, I spoke to *****. She was clearly irritated and verbally attacked me on the phone when I inquired about the car. I explained that the car isn't mine and I need to ensure the owner that his car was not stolen. She told me I was harassing her and the owner who could hear our conversation was getting upset. I did not at any point raise my voice or escalate the situation because I was at their mercy. She told me, we haven't ran your card, ***** shouldn't have told you we could bring your car and hung up She text me: your vehicle will be at the exit 3 parking and ride in South Royalton **... Waiting for you to find a driver to remove it" I had to rush to get another tow so no one would steal it
