I used the credit card payment option for the car wash. I turned the unit to "off" when I was done per the instructions. The timer continued to run and the charge increased even though it was off. I turned the unit to off multiple times. I have video. I reached out to the store who says they are not the business owner. They are listed as the business owner via the town.Customer response

Hi, The car wash and the Kwik Stop store are not the same business. Black River Car Wash is owned by ***********************. I cannot locate the phone number for the car wash as it was recently sold. The owner has another business in ******* ** and the contact info is:

From the knowledge I have by using the car wash myself it appears the customer turned the dial to stop which stops the water but did not press the stop button on the credit card part of the machine. It is clearly labeled to do so.***********************;

Better Business Bureau:I have reviewed the response submitted by the business and have determined that the response does not satisfy or resolve my issues and/or concerns in reference to complaint # ********. Please add your rejection comments below; if you do not provide any details, your complaint will be closed as Answered.
I have attached the video of me turning the dial to stop repeatedly. I also hit the stop button on the credit card machine multiple times (not videoed). The timer continued regardless and I was charged $15. It is my understanding a large amount of people have experienced this fraudulent charge.
Businesses and Customers should be civil, courteous and polite in their responses to complaints. It is important to remain professional and productive when participating in the BBB complaint process.
