Anacortes towing, AKA Import Autosports Was contracted to move my toolbox and a coworkers toolbox. The driver was incompetent and completely unprepared, unprofessional. The driver did not hold the knowledge to properly Secure the load at hand. The driver then proceeded to disobey the speed limit, and took a corner to fast. This resulted in the load coming unsecured and one toolbox almost completely falling off the truck. This resulted in my toolbox getting damaged. I have had the damage appraised, and contacted the owner of the tow company. He has refused to pay the damages to my toolbox.Business response

In response to Mr. ********** complaint, let me start off by stating that Import Autosport Inc. is a complete and separate business entity from Anacortes Towing. The only thing the two companies have in common is the same owner.
As for the damage to the toolboxes, Anacortes Towing is a ************** not a moving company. Anacortes transports vehicles, that is their job. As a favor to the owner of Zap Automotive the towing company agreed to transport a couple of toolboxes, one for ********************** and one for another gentleman. It was supposed to be two toolboxes that at the time the tow driver arrived to transport them had morphed into 4 toolboxes and 2 carts. The owners of the toolboxes did not contact the towing office about the increased number of items to be moved. ********************** and the other toolbox owner were both involved in securing the items on the deck of the rollback tow truck along with the driver of the tow truck. ********************** nor the other gentleman chose to supply any sort of blanket or other item to keep tiedown straps from rubbing on their toolboxes during transport. ********************** and his co-worker both agreed that the toolboxes and carts were secured to their satisfaction before the tow driver proceeded from Point A. Again, Anacortes Towing tows vehicles, moving the toolboxes was done as a favor to Mr. ********** new boss. As for the tow driver disobeying the speed limit, yes, he was going below the speed limit due to the toolboxes being on the deck of the truck. ********************** and his fellow co-worker were following the tow truck. The tow driver did pull over at one point to re-secure the toolboxes and once again ********************** and his companion were highly involved in re-securing them to the deck of the truck and each other. Again, both ********************** and his companion were satisfied with how they re-secured the toolboxes.. Not once during transport did ********************** or his companion contact the towing company or the owner of the towing company to discuss their concerns.
After the toolboxes were delivered did ********************** complained about how things were done, and about damage to his toolbox. It is unknown to our company how badly the toolboxes may have been damaged prior to the transport of them from Point A to Point B. ********************** nor his co-worker were ever charged for the transport of said toolboxes.
