7/24/2024 I am asking for a price adjustment for the repair of our Garage door. When I called initially for the evaluation of our Garagedoor and to have service done to just close the Garage door I was told there is no fee for coming out to evaluate but may have a fee for the repair,. The gentleman came out & arrived around 8pm. He came evaluated said we need a new Garage door explained the cost we said thank you we just needed the door closed for now. He released the spring on both sides and pulled the garage down. The garage door is not functional manually or electronically, which is not what we asked for, we just wanted it closed, which is why I initially called. After he was done he wrote down the amount for the work done which was $594.31. For 10 minutes and a quick fix, noting that it is after hours , I would've understood a bill of $300 maybe even $350, but the explanation for the higher cost was because we didn't order the door. I would like to note he had no pamphlet no costing sheet nothing for a new Garage door, He said " I can get you the exact same one at about $3150 ,install $300 +tax. We had no idea what we would be getting and we said not at this time. He said he would deduct the cost if we ordered from them but otherwise it's this amount. That just seems unprofessional and sketchy. So when I called last week inquiring about the amount and wanting to speak with a Manager , the technician called me arguing it's because I didn't purchase a door that is why the amount is so high. I said I wanted a call from the Manager, I did not receive a call. So I called again today apparently talking to the Manager. He instantly knew what was going on and actually started yelling at me . I let him know not to talk to me like that way and needed to see their costing list so I know what exactly I am paying for, their email doesn't work and I would like a break down of the costs, which is why I am reporting this. On 03/14/2024 , I called LIV Garage Door Repair because garage door cable came out of the pulley. They send a technician who told his name ***** . He told me your Cable , Torsion Spring , Garage door opener need to be replaced and told that it would cost $ 900 to fix it. I agreed. He replaced all the parts and I paid him $ 900 cash and he game me receipt. and he left. After 15 min when he left , ***** came out of the pulley again. I called the number on the receipt ************ which the technician told me to call if any problem came again . They send the same technician again. He told me that center *** also to be replaced and it cost $ 100 more and told me that he will come tomorrow ( 03/15/2024 ) with the rod and fixed the problem. I agreed to it. He came next day and replaced the rod and took $ 100 cash and gave me the receipt. And on next day ***** came out of the pulley again. Now its almost 10 days I called on both numbers so many time , they are not refunding my money or neither fixing the problem and demanding $ 1600 more. Till now I have paid them $1000 for nothing.Initial Complaint

I called to have a new garage door opener installed ... I had to have them come back 5+ times because it was not working properly, finally I insisted they give me a new one, which once again did not work properly. It looks to me that the receipt is phony and they are refusing to come again to finish hooking me up to wi-fi with the second opener installed. They screamed at me and told me if I wanted them to come it would be $99.00. All I was asking was for them to complete the job. I also had asked for a receipt for the opener, which looks phony to me. A friend had to come over to get my garage door working again, but was not able to get it connected to wifi. I spent several days locked into my house waiting for them to adjust the opener so I could get my car out. They have now taken it a step further and scared me by yelling at me. the cost of their work was $929.00Business response

We replace for him the opener 2 time for free never no charge agien
This lady spake bad leve all what you do come her now open for me the door !!!!
And when the guy come everything is working
Idk what he want but last time he call say come now fix for me the app
I told him if you want pay 99$ for the program we cant come all the time for free is
No life time warranty he hung up the phon and say I gona kill your buisins
I can give him the money back take my staff and levee us alone
We do all the 2-3 openar everything is fine only him openar make problems come on !!Customer response

I am rejecting this response because: I had to have them keep coming back because I could not get out of my garage. They did not hook the opener up properly, I in fact had to show him what he needed to do to make it stop bouncing and throwing it off balance. It still was not hooked up correctly (the box with the parts needed to do the job right is still in my garage) I called another company and they told me it was a defective opener, so I had them replace it. They were here several times trying to make it work so I could get out of my garage. They told me I needed new springs next, which I had replace a year ago already. My friend came over and found what the problem was and fixed it. However he is not tech smart and didn't know how to hook it up to wi-fi. (part of what I paid them to do. I never said I was "going to kill their business" I simply said "I guess I need to call the Better Business Bureau" and he continued screaming at me and then he hung up on me. I figured the $929.00 that I paid for a new opener and install it should have worked properly, on my "receipt" they wrote "5 year warranty" and every time they had to come back I told them I was sorry that they needed to come back, but I needed my garage door to work. This problem was not created by me, it was created because they did not hook it up properly. I want nothing more to do with this "company" as they do not know how to do things right. I felt threatened by them screaming at me and I will not allow anybody to treat me like that. My husband has told me just to let them be somebody else's problem and let it go. The problems that they caused for weeks of not being able to leave my house for delivering Christmas presents to needy children, doctor ****** visiting my grandchildren etc can not be paid back in money... they should not be in business if they cannot preform the job they were hired for. I am letting this go and will not recommend them to anybody. Tjhank you for your time.Sincerely,

In November the company came to do garage door maintenance, when they arrived they arrived in an unmarked vehicle. They changed it to springs, and perform some lubrication work then charged ****. The problem persisted, when I was finally able to get someone to come back out, they sprayed it with WD-40 (they borrowed it from me ) and then took off Without saying anything to me, and the problem is still there.
