In May of 2022 we hired north sound services to renovate our property at 1912 cedar park drive in point roberts. George asked for a deposit and having never met him prior, my husband and I drove from the Okanagan in british columbia to his office in ferndale WA and provided him with a chq. i'm unsure of the amount in american funds at this moment but it worked out to be 12,718.03 CAD. He was supposed to start reno's in June 2023 but continually and constantly kept pushing the date forward. Finally, in May 2023 we decided to part ways as nothing had been done up to that point. He did return some funds which worked out to be 6,888.96 CAD. I am looking for the return of the rest of the funds owed to me as no work was ever done. Please help! or alternatively, i'm looking for next steps i need to take. If there is help moving forward I can provide bank statements & receipt for down payment etc. At this point I'm just wondering what I need to be doing next. Thank you.Initial Complaint

I live in a condo community of 8 separate cottages. In 2022, North Sound Services (NSS) re-roofed 6 of those cottages. It took 6+ months to finish (due mostly to not showing up despite telling us they would be there) but the project was completed in September (plus a January fix due to poor workmanship). We have not received any roof warranties despite several requests for them. I am also the treasurer of my condo and have asked for NSSs tax ID number so I can send a ****, as required by the **** but no response. In addition, each individual owner could and did make a separate, one-on-one contract with NSS to replace their skylights. I ordered two skylights plus 2 screens & 1 set of blinds ($5,456.50). Skylights were installed but screens and blinds are back ordered. *** asked for updates a number of times and the one time I talked with ****** (the owner) he said he hadnt had time to check on them. That was in late November. I left voice messages and texted several times but received no reply. I want my money back on the screens and blinds because I can order them quickly myself.So, there are three issues to resolve:1)We need our roof warranties.2)I want a refund (sufficient to cover my purchase of screens and blinds) from NSS. I have asked for a breakdown of the cost for skylights, labor, screens, and blinds but absolute silence from NSS.3)I need NSSs tax ID/EIN number.****** has indicated to another community member that he will only talk with one person. There are two problems with this 1) that person has also gotten no information from ******, and 2) he has individual (not condo) agreements for the skylights and will not speak to us regarding those. Unfortunately, I am the only one who paid upfront so I need a refund so I buy the screens & blinds elsewhere. The poor communication has now ceased altogether. Can you please help resolve this issue?
