My mother is 85 years old. These guys came out for a warrantee covered service of our water heater. They told my mother that she needed a whole bunch of other stuff she did not need including a sump pump (we don't even have a basement). My mother is not in the best mental capacity. She doesn't understand things. These guys took advantage of her. They made her pay up front over a thousand dollars for services they did not end up rendering. This seems like elder abuse.

Your mother has been a customer for several years now.  We were out doing the yearly maintenance as part of her warranty that you canceled, and the tech did the inspection that was part of that warranty and found she doesn't have the proper washing machine hoses and her main shut off valve to her home needs to be replaced.  We don't take advantage of anyone and that is an unfair accusation against us, especially since you were not there.  We presented her with the findings of the inspection that keeps her safe from a potential water disaster.  She gave a check as a deposit and we didn't end up doing the work because 1. the appointment that she made for it is at a later date, and 2. you canceled it and we mailed back the deposit as requested.  There was no mention of a sump pump anywhere, but her condensate pump outlet isn't working, so you will want to have an electrician check that out.  We recommend that you be present for any future home maintenance services at your mother's home so you can be part of the inspection and see exactly what the technician is finding.  You'll want to find another company to do an annual flush of her water heater and keep an eye on her washing machine hoses and her shut off valve. We have cancelled everything with your mother and wish her the very best.

I've been a Diamond member with ******* plumbing for several years, paying a monthly fee to get my Tankless system flushed annually. While they've been fine for routine maintenance, I'm really disappointed with how they handle anything beyond **********, during my yearly maintenance, I asked for a quote to replace a 3" coupler on a pipe connected to the tankless that has a slow leak. It's a $5.00 part with easy access, and they had the nerve to quote me over $1,100! The technician admitted it would take less than an hour to replace. And that $1,100? Supposedly a "discounted" price for Diamond members. Unbelievable! This is beyond unacceptableit feels like they're blatantly taking advantage of their customers. I've canceling my membership and finding someone else because I no longer trust *******. *****, you just lost another customer with your ridiculous pricing. Theres no justification for charging that much for a job that involves a $5.00 part and less than an hour of work, except to line your pockets and rip off your customers.

We're sorry you feel that way.  All of our technicians are Navien certified, which means we fly them to ********** for an intensive training to work on the Navien tankless water heaters.  We pay a generous wage to our men as well as full benefits for their entire family.  ********** is fully staffed and we have a full time warehouse manager who makes sure our trucks are well stocked so our technicians can handle any kind of repair, such as this one, without having to go to a supplier for parts.  We have someone answering our phones live, seven days a week so you can always speak to a real person who can get a plumber to your home quickly in an emergency.  The office staff is paid a generous living wage with full benefits as well.  Those are just a few of the costs of getting our technician to your home to do the tankless flush and yearly maintenance inspection that is included with your monthly ************ dues.  The cost of running a business in 2024 is not cheap and we do charge for repairs such as this one.  Not to mention that is was two men doing the work so "less than an hour" for two men.  If they ran into complications and it took three hours?  Same price.  *****'s Plumbing has thousands of happy ************ members.  We're sorry to see you go, but we do understand that some people just don't see the value of our service.  We wish you the very best.

Water was backing up in my toilets and bathtub and my shower, so *****'s plumbing came out and told me it was a pipe under my house and had to be re-routed. It would cost me over $9000. but if I took out their $18 special something for a year I could save 15% so I did. This did not solve the problem. It backed up again and again. Had them come out again and said it was fine. Decided I wanted my money back and the manager came out and said another $9000 they could cut into the wall and separate the toilets. Well I said no, I said I thought it was a clogged in the pipe. he said no I got back $3500 and he said it would have happened anyways. Been in the house for 40 years and it has never happened. I had to call another plumber who took out the toilet and ran a snake down and what do you know? There was a clog. I did try to tell them but they did not listen I also had to have a 90 degree pipe joint replace that *****'s put in because it should have been a 45 degree. I would not recommend *****'s Plumbing I believe they just wanted money and took advantage of me *****************

1 star for first to contact, but very disappointed/disgusted in Steves plumbing sales tactic. Upon inspection of my rusted galvanized drainage pipe for kitchen sink/dishwasher, they started talking about their ************ pricing/membership that would get me a 15% discount on future services. I told them I was only interested in a quote for the problem that I have today. After reviewing the pipe for less than 5 minutes, they said the only repair was to replace the entire pipe which would involve removing the adjacent wall covering the pipe in the next room. They said the job would require 2 technicians, 1.5 days to complete, and they could start today. I was very shocked at the price and when I said so, they asked me if I had contacted my home insurance company to start a claim. I am not a plumber and these salesmen made me believe this was the only repairable option, I told them I would take their offer and start the work. At that time, they started talking about the ************ and how it would save me so much money on future services.I again said I was not interested in the ************ membership and if this was a solicitation deal, I was not interested. Since I turned down the diamond club membership (which required a monthly checking account withdrawal of $16.00 with a never-ending stop date), they requoted the price at $10,800.00 as they had to remove the 15% discount. At this point I agreed to pay them the $99.00 service fee required for the inspection, and asked them to leave. I felt this was not a trustworthy company that I wanted to work with today or in the future. This was such a terrible experience and I would never refer them to anyone. I think it is criminal for them to take advantage of a customer when they are in a crisis. I had 4 additional plumbing companies inspect my pipe and quotes ranged from $500-$1900.00. All plumbers said the pipe was repairable, and it was repaired in less than 2 hours for under $500.

As the owner of *****'s Plumbing, I personally accompanied my technician to assess this repair.  Our dispatch and gps software indicate more than 45 minutes were spent on site from arrival to departure.  More than 30 minutes were spent assessing the problem itself, a corroded galvanized drain pipe serving the kitchen above.  We explained to the customer that due to its age (over 60 years), any attempt at repair would be temporary at best.  In addition, the pipe was undersized according to the Uniform Plumbing Code.  We proposed a permanent solution, the replacement of the entire drain line, in the correct size, to an appropriate connection in the basement floor.  As a licensed plumber with 47 years of experience, it is my professional opinion that to do anything less would be irresponsible.

We present the benefits of our maintenance agreement plan, the ************* to every customer on every call, without exception.  I did so early in this meeting, and again toward the end, which met with the client's objection.

While we wish the customer all the best with her $500 repair, we disagree with all of the companies saying this pipe was "repairable", leaving an undersized 60+ year old corroding pipe in place.

One star is too much for this place. It is a total rip off and I wish the God this guy goes out of business because he takes advantage of people with his highway robbery pricing. STAY AWAY from this place and find another plumber. Be warned that you will be ripped off massively by this place.

Your people were out yesterday and quoted $6100 to install a 75 ga heater. I said yes and they started tank drain before I had second thoughts. Wound up having the job done for $3200. I understand that your people get commission on their work. That is unethical if true on your part since they have incentive to **** up prices. Wound up charging me $451 for their work to drain the tank after I cancelled the order. It was only half drained at that. I put you in category with Beekins plumbing, a real rip off artist. I will notify ********** who referred me to you. You should change your operating procedures if you want the respect of your customers. *********************** Mill Creek PS I learned that larger plumbing cos pay their repair people a commission on work. this is an incentive to fleece the customer.

We appreciate the feedback and we're sorry you feel this way. We pay our employees a living wage with full benefits. Our phones are answered for 11 hours a day, seven days a week by a trained customer service representative. We have a full time warehouse manager who keeps each of the trucks fully stocked so when our plumbers arrive at your home, they are able to complete almost any job that presents itself. We have a management team in place to make sure our systems and procedures are being followed by each and every team member, and to make sure not one plumber can "jack up prices" like you accuse. We have thousands of happy customers that fully respect the service they employ us to provide.
