On august 1 2022 This tow company was dispatched to my vehicle in regards to a collision that took place. Upon arrival the tow truck driver and I spoke briefly about said car to be towed to a specified location in which I paid $210 cash to the driver. The driver then drove right past said location did not stop did not ask questions and then drove back to said tow yard in question. The next day I called they it would cost $960 to get out of impound as well as the driver saying he did not receive any money from me. So he stole my $200 as well as never dropped the car off.Business response

We were called by the **************** Patrol to an accident on Interstate 5. The customer requested that we tow the vehicle to an address in ****** and my driver said they were to pay upon arrival at the drop location. When my driver arrived at the address in ****** he found not one there to pay. He then returned the vehicle to hour impound yard back in *******. We were contacted my the driver (the person who was not the registered owner) and he said he had a video of him giving my driver the money, but he could not provide us the video to review. He said that we should just trust him that this is what occured. We then did not hear from any one for another week or so. When he finally came to our business with proof that he was authorized to redeem the vehicle we had in storage. At the time that someone came to redeem the vehicle the total owed was $1659.00 plus tax. We discounted the price to just the impound fee of $525.00 plus tax (he was given a discount of $1134.00 before tax). We believe that the customer was treated more than fairly. We were not required by law to give any dicounts or reduce our bill and he could not produce proof that he ever paid any money to my driver. The gentleman in question was not the registered owner of the vehicle - they had just purchased the vehicle and did not tranfer name either. This complain is unfounded and the customer should consider himself lucky that we were the impounding company. Please consider this information in your assessment.
