On April 1, I gave *************************, owner of A+ Property Solutions, LLC an $1800 check as deposit for a $3,500 quote to treat the metal roof on our shop with a protective coating. The $1800 deposit was "to purchase the materials and equipment necessary to do this job." The "equipment necessary" included the cost of a lift. We wanted **** to be safe while doing this job and It was agreed that **** would use a lift to do the job. **** deposited the $1800 check the same day. We have a copy of that check clearing our bank. **** came to our house on May 24 to start the job but had no lift. He said he was going to try to do the job without a lift. We didn't want him to do that and told him that if he did not use a lift we needed to subtract the cost of the lift from the $3500 he had quoted for the job. **** left. We called **** on May 25 to let him know the 2 pails of material he had left on May 24 was the wrong color and that according to the specs on the material he would need 5 pails. We also reminded **** that if he tried to do the job without a lift we would need to deduct the cost of the lift from the $3500 quote. **** went into a rage and using foul language yelled that he was not going to do the job for free. Although we did not ask him to, he said he would return our deposit and we needed to find someone else to do the job. We asked when he would send us our $1800 deposit he said "soon" and was unwilling to give us a commitment as to when it would be sent. We have sent a letter and text messages to his phone asking when we could expect to receive the $1800 he promised and we have received no response. It is now 4 weeks since he said he would return our deposit and we have received nothing from ****.
