My wife and I paid The Custom Plate $6,525 on August 27th, 2023, for wedding venue and catering services on Dec 2nd, 2023. Owners **** and ************************* agreed to a custom menu for our food intolerances. After cashing our check, they consistently delayed responses, raising concerns about their ability to deliver promised services. Despite a non-refundable payment clause, we challenge it due to their dishonest and irresponsible practices.The critical planning meeting on Nov 8th, 2023, at 6 pm at ******************** was crucial. Despite confirming their attendance, **** and ****** failed to show, citing the chef's illness. Rescheduling attempts were ignored for four days until **** emailed, omitting any mention of the tasting or its rescheduling. Concerns intensified as our wedding approached, exacerbated by multiple negative customer reviews of their business and unprofessional responses from ****.On November 14th, 2023, we informed them of terminating our relationship and seeking a refund. Despite evidence of unmet commitments, **** insists they were prepared to accommodate our event, disregarding our valid concerns.
