I won a 12 punch card for Parents Night Out at a fundraising auction.My family and I are move to NY in one week. As a going away event for my 9-year-old we wanted to use the card for him and 11 friends. I made the arrangements with ***** in APRIL about the event. We talked about a waiver, food, EVERYTHING. We scheduled for the evening of June 11, 2022.The Columbia City location's communication is abysmal. When I called a few months ago, it took the staff well over 10 days to call me back. I had to call them. They said they didnt have a movie picked out yet, they didnt have anything concrete, but check back. I did and firmed up the day and told them I would get invites together. I was very confident that it was well-understood what our circumstance would encompass.I called back to square away and confirm details this past weekend and no one got back with me for a few days. When they did, ***** the Scheduler said the venue is filled up she said unfortunately (she said this about 20 times in the conversation) my sons party cant happen. Needless to say was stunned. She said she needed waivers before they came. Which to me meant that they could fill them out once they got there or sometime before the event started and we would be good to go.***** ADMITTED that she knew about our event, but failed to follow-up to make sure we were still coming before she gave away our spots. At any point from April to June she could have called, emailed, communicated somehow, to make sure we were still needing the spots. That's usually a common responsibility of a competent scheduler! She could have put in 12 **** or **** Does to hold the spots. She forgot, now my son is screwed.I asked how she'd to make it right, she suggested that we (stay an extra week? And) hold the event on June 18!It appears that Seattle Gymnastics Academy wants to participate in the gentrification of Columbia City, but accommodating some of the original inhabitance is out of the question.
