I moved out of my apartment at 940 North Apartments on July 31st. On August 9th I received a Move-Out Statement regarding the amount they would be keeping from my security deposit for cleaning and maintenance. On September 9th, I sent an email asking for the timeline on receiving the remainder of my security deposit return and have since sent emails on September 15, September 19th, and October 5th and have received vague or no responses. **************** Law seems to allow 30 days for deposit returns and as of my email on October 5th, it had been 66 days days since I had moved out.Business response

Dear ***************************,
We here at 940 understand your frustration and would normally agree that 66 days is a long time not to receive a deposit.
However, you were never required to pay a deposit as you signed an incentive agreement on 12/13/2020 that waived the deposit.
This incentive agreement was called "48 Hour Look and Lease Waived Fees". This incentive agreement promised a waived deposit and administration fee.
Since we have no deposit to pull from, you will not be getting one back.
We sent you a statement showing the money you owe for damages left in the apartment at $111.75.
At this time, we have chosen not to send this to collections. We would like to collect payment internally.
As we could not get ahold of you either on this matter, it shows there is a lack of communication between us both.
