  On June 22, ************************************************************************* Spokane. As a part of the installation they used a condensate pump, Asurity CP-22. It failed one year later in July of 2023 when it ran continuously without pumping water because the tube to waste was blocked. When I called the manufacturer of the pump to see what might have occurred, I was told that pump was not designed to handle the acidic water produced by a unit fueled by gas which is what mine was fueled by. I was told that it should have been an FP-22. The installer should have known that because the Installation Manual of the tankless water heater on page 37, under section 3.5 - Connecting the Condensate Drain, clearly states, "The Navien Condensing Water Heater creates condensation when it operates. This condensation has an acidic pH of 3-5." Because it was not the proper pump the acidic water caused material from inside to form and to block the movement of the water to waste so it had to be replaced to work properly. I called the company and told them I had another company, Platinum Mechanical, bring an acidic-rated compensate pump as a replacement and asked that I be reimbursed for the cost of the replacement. I have called several times and asked to speak to ****, the owner, and he is never available and never returns the calls. I have written two letters to which there has been no response. Air Serv should reimburse me the $408.75 I had to pay to have the proper pump installed.
