Tapps did a complete rewire of our home. We decided not to proceed with a separate panel for a heat pump and they have been claiming that the check is in the mail for a few weeks now. The initial transaction was in Dec 2022. I finally was able to get them to tell me how much of a refund I was owed ($334.63) on May 30, 2023, I just want my refund.Customer response

I hired Tapps Electric to update my electric box, wire for a generator, purchase a generator and make minor electrical repairs in the house. They sent out an estimator, twice, and we received a quote for service. Based on a list provided by Tapps Electric we purchased much of the material ourselves. Their only written caveat was they do not warranty third party materials. Part of the material list included (80') 6/3 NMB. They used approximately a foot of this material for the installation. The reason the material was that length was to reach the generator. They installed the generator in my carport , not only in the way of my car, it is next to a crawl space air vent. I had two propane companies provide estimates for connecting the generator and both informed me it would vent into the crawl space. After the electrical inspection, Tapps Electric came back to the house and made repairs to the inside of the new panel and installed concrete barriers in front of the generator. If the generator is in my carport the barriers are required; however, it still sits next to a air vent for the crawl space. The generator was not supposed to be installed in my carport. This is why part of the material list is 80' of NMB and PVC pipe. I asked Tapps Electric to move the generator; they refused, without a fee prior to installing the barriers. Aside from the unused NMB and PVC pipe , we have two 60 amp AC disconnect, two pole 50 amp breaker, PVC straps, (2) 3/4" LNB and hardware that goes with material. I have a generator that is of no use to me and cannot be connected to propane. One solution is to block the air vent to the crawl space; which I do not want to do. All the material was purchased in order for the generator to be installed away from the house. Two separate payments of $8450.63 and $7000.00Business response

Throughout the entire process, we maintained open lines of communication with ******** to ensure that all work conducted received her explicit approval. We engaged in a thorough walk-through with her, during which she confirmed both the generator's placement and the positioning of the concrete barriers before any work commenced. We have been in constant dialogue with ********, striving to accommodate her needs. As a gesture of goodwill, we have already provided substantial discounts on her invoice.
We have made repeated attempts to reach mutually agreeable terms with ******** on four separate occasions, only to find that her preferences change abruptly after a week's time. Regrettably, these shifts have been accompanied by aggressive and threatening behavior towards our office staff during her phone calls. It is important to note that both the building inspector and state electrical inspector have assessed the installation and confirmed its compliance with all relevant regulations. Their professional evaluations indicate that there are no issues with the current setup.
Regarding ********'s request to relocate the generator 80' to a different location, we informed her that we can accommodate her needs; however, it would incur additional costs. We are committed to providing quality service and ensuring our customers' satisfaction, but we must also consider the resources and labor involved in fulfilling such requests.
