I hired The Floor Company to install carpet at my daughter's home in November 2023. I purchased the carpet from them as well. When installing the carpet, a wall was damaged. I spoke with ******, who agreed to reimburse me for having the damages repaired. I sent him an invoice for the repairs totaling $350.00, and he told me that he would have a check in the mail. After a few weeks and no receipt, I reached back out to him, and he informed me that buisness was slow and he hoped to be able to get a check in the mail by the end of the month, being January. I decided to file a dispute with my credit card company, as a reimbursment should have been issued immediately. My card company found no one at fault and reinstated the original charge for the carpet (2500). I have emailed ****** and have called him and left messages and he has failed *** communicate with me in regards to my pending reimbursement. I am prepared to file small claims, however wanted to give him one last opportunity to make this situation right.

      Good afternoon,

We installed new carpet in ********'s daughter's house and damaged the drywall with our carpet stretcher during the process. I reached out to ******** immediately to let her know what we had done. I offered to fix it or pay to have someone else fix it. She chose to have someone else repair the wall and I did receive an invoice for $350 for the work. Work did slow down for us after this incident and it was very difficult to keep up on regular business expenses. I was running my business without a line of credit for access to additional funds and did not have $350 laying around. I eventually was able to pay her but she refused accepting the funds because a claim for $2500 was filed. She wanted to wait for a decision with that before taking the $350. After her claim was denied she did reach out to me once asking for the $350 and I said that I would get it to her. To be completely honest, I did lose track of that communication until this complaint was filed. That was not very professional on my part. I mailed her a check today, April 2nd, for the amount of $350 to resolve this issue.

      Thank you,
