So horrible! They continued to charge me even when I was enrolled full time in a graduate program. The customer service is terrible and they are so unhelpful. It’s disgraceful how they loan companies are operated.UAS Response

i’ve had a loan through ********** university for years that is being handled by UAS. i submitted an education payment request through ********** as i have a grant from serving a year with **********. that grant payment never went through and now UAS has passed my loan off to a company called reliant capital services which according to all my research definitely looks like a scam, and the phone number for reliant capital services on UAS’s website isn’t even a real number. the whole thing feels shady and i’m not sure what to do next.UAS Response

This company has been a nightmare to work with for the last 10 years. They have double charged me, messed with my interest and messed up payments. Told me they never received the payoff check and to have the check canceled/reissued. Did so moments after getting off the phone so it would be taken care of ASAP. Turned out they did have the payoff check, applied it to my account and then reversed the payment and immediately asked me to pay them for the month. The entire back off is incompetent at their job and the company is only in the interest of making sure you can never make your payments just so they can send your loan off to their parent company which is a debt collector. Once the new payoff check comes in and it’s paid off I will be beyond happy to NEVER deal with this company again. Horrible business and the customer service people are less than helpful. I would have given 0 stars if I could. Better off going with a company like ******** or ******** for your student loans. Much better business over there than these peopleUAS Response

The company tried to tell me in a letter I have received that they have never messed up my account and that all the numbers were correct. However, when you go into the transaction history it clearly shows that they have on occasion reversed interest accruals on my account just to re-do the interest in a different amount without any explanation. This company is nothing but a headache and cannot be trusted.UAS Response

If I could give zero stars I would. Please stay away from this company if you can! I originally got this loan from a credit union who then sold the loan off to this place. I had paid my bills all throughout covid without missing a payment. Meanwhile my federal student loan I just started paying and had not been penalized at all with that one. At the end of 2023 my father was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and my dog also has cancer. I need to financially help my family and also need to pay for monthly chemo and medical bills for my dog. As a result I am doing debt consolidation. I reached out to UAS for a forbearance hardship until I can get back on my feet. First they tell me my physical document never arrived to their address. So then send me a PDF to compete. I compete the PDF and provide all necessary documentation. They push back saying the “font is too small” which the font was the same font used on their form. They finally push it for review only to reject my request telling through their portal that I filled out the wrong form (mind you they were the ones to provide me with the form). Then I get sent a form again only for it to be the same exact form I already filled out (and shockingly the message they sent through the portal stating the wrong form was completed is no longer there, thankfully I took a screenshot so I can provide to my lawyer for guidance)! I would not trust this place with your money or any form of loan. How they are still in business is beyond me.UAS Response

I made an early payment but they charged me twice. Set my banks balance to NEGATIVE 350!!! They dont claim any responsibility and wont do anything about it. Thankful for my emergency savings account I guess. This company is a pathetic jokeUAS Response

I have a loan through ********* University that UAS is unfortunately the servicer for. That loan was placed in deferment back in September 2023. Since Sept, I have made no changes to my preferences on your site. In Sept, Oct, Nov, and Dec of 2023, no payments were withdrawn from my account because, as I said, my loan was in deferment. On January 5, 2024, however, when I checked my bank account, I noticed that there was a pending debit from UAS, ostensibly for this loan payment. When I called *********, I was told that my loan was absolutely in deferment and there is no reason why any payment should be debited from my account in reference to this loan. *********, however, could not see why UAS was debiting my account and advised that I call UAS. I did so and was initially told that my loan was not in deferment. When I corrected the woman I was speaking with, it took her 5 minutes to determine that, yes, my loan was in fact in deferment. I was told on January 5, 2024, by UAS that they also were not sure why my account was debited. The woman I was speaking to then informed me that I still had recurring payments set up and this must be the reason my account was debited (despite those recurring payments being "on" for September, October, November, and December 2023 and no payments being debited for those months). I was then told that it would be expedited through the accounting team, but that I would need to send a screenshot of my bank account in order for the request to be expedited. I was informed that sending a screenshot of my bank account was the only way I would be refunded the money. As I expressed to the woman I spoke with numerous times, if the reason my account was debited is just that there was an error in the system, I just want to know why my account was debited given that my loan was in deferment so that I can ensure that this does not happen again (because, once again, I clearly cannot rely on UAS to ensure that my loan is be administered properly).UAS Response

I have been making regular payments from an account dedicated to these payments. I have money in every time, but the payments only occasionally go through. There is no record of the payments being attempted on my banks end, and again this is the only thing I use that bank account for so there is always the appropriate amount of money to cover the payment. Then they raise the interest and report me to credit bureaus what is happening??UAS Response

I have had an issue making my payments because they are astronomically high. VERINA ***** in customer service was the most pleasant, helpful, and kind customer service employee that I have ever experienced. She helped me with a plethora of things, and was super patient. I think that she should be one of the most valued employees because of her positivity and willingness to help. She helped me set up appointments to help me with lowering interest rates, and helped me navigate what form would be best for what I needed. I had the BEST experience with her. I have been paying my loans since they became due, no issues. There were 2 instances where I forgot and they reported me to the credit bureaus. Also, everyone had to pay during a global pandemic. My loan is a federal loan, they did not care. At this time, I am unemployed due to health issues my infant is facing, i contacted them. I sent the application in along with the list of places that I am seeking employment. They advised that it needs to be in a pdf. Why would a company refuse you service because the information is not sent in pdf format? The information is providedwhy is that not enough? I am utterly disgusted at them for exploiting people. At least federal loans offer several flexible repayment options and allow for temporary forbearance if you're having a tough time financially. These folks continue to raise the interest rate on my student loan without any sort of notification and are inflexible when it comes to repayment options. I make payments on time each month yet it all goes to interest because the rate has gone up so much. $100+ in interest is added to my loan each month and my payment is $120. So, unless I double my payment every month I will never pay down my principal. I also agree with another reviewer who mentioned the constant reversals/adjustments of interest on the account, again with no notifications to the borrower. What are they even doing and why?! I'm getting rid of this loan ASAP and I'd never recommend UAS to anyone. Stick to federal if you can or seek other options that won't have you trapped in an endless repayment cycle.UAS Response
