During the purchase of vehicle, none of these protection plans a.k.a. scam plans were gone over with me, the buyer. I would not have paid for almost four thousand dollars worth of non-sense packages. A digital signature was slapped on these contracts which leads me to believe I was unaware they added all these extra ******** packages. not to mention, I called within months of my owning vehicle and asked do I have a warranty plan. They clearly stated, "No," over the phone. I happened to stumble on all this paper work two years into my service contract. I understand I didn't cancel within the allowed time frame because I was completely unaware I had such plans tacked onto this vehicle. Why weren't these additional charges presented at time of purchase. I think I know why, because I would have refused and I'm sure this is happening to this day with other car buyers.Business response

Presently, the technician is trying to accurately diagnose the root cause of the vehicle issue. The vehicle has been test driven approximately 125 miles with monitoring equipment in an effort to duplicate the customer's concern. Additionally, the technician has performed the specific diagnostic test procedures as outline by the manufacturer, though no diagnostic fault codes are present or stored in the control module history. This dealer provided the customer with a no charge rental vehicle as these procedures have been performed. The customer was able to share photos they took while the vehicle concern was happening, though that *** show the occurrence it doesn't not indicate a specific failed component as required by the manufacturer in order to secure a warrantable repair.
As the customer mentioned the vehicle throttle body was replaced for a similar concern on July 23rd, 2021. On July 27th, 2022, the throttle body was diagnosed as having failed once more, and was replaced covered by Mopar Parts Warranty due to the fact that the dealer could show it had failed based on the diagnostic trouble codes to Chrysler Corporation.Initial Complaint

I am filing this complaint so that other's don't get trapped by this business. I purchased a used car at this dealership in September 2022. I had an OK time with the purchasing experience. My salesman, *****************************, was very pushy, but which salesmen aren't? He assured me how great the previous owner treated this car and had recently done extensive service to it (new brakes, fluids, engine) ensuring that it wouldn't need servicing for a good amount of time. Fast forward six months (March 2023) and this car has transmission problems already. I called the service center to get pricing details for potential fixes and was told that they'd give me a call back with more info; haven't heard anything. I then contacted ***************************** to see if he could connect me with someone who could give me service pricing info. *To be clear, I never asked for a discount or special treatment* I got the below email back: "By now you *** be weighing all of the information you have received about your vehicle purchase. It can be overwhelming. I sometimes feel that way myself and I am in the car business. I will do my best to make it an enjoyable and hassle-free experience. Are you still in the market for a Chrysler 300?There is a good chance that by now if you have not yet purchased a vehicle, you *** be waiting for some time, and that's okay with me. Most of our customers that have not purchased a vehicle ask me to keep them informed regarding rebate and incentive changes that *** alter the price of their dream vehicle. I would like to continue to keep in touch with you to inform you of those changes. We hope you'll discover the Ewald Advantage with our ongoing communication... It's more than the money you'll save!"Upon messaging him back expressing my disappointment in that response, I received "Sorry ***".So I paid $26k for a shoddy car and "sorry". This has been a very stressful/disheartening experience and I'm hoping others aren't affected like this.Customer response

Thank you for your follow up message from the complaint that I filed. This email is to notify you that I was contacted directly by the business. ******, who was mentioned in the report, called to apologize and explain that he had misread my email. Upon further research into the car that I purchased, he set me up with Ewald's service department to diagnose the problem at their expense.Initial Complaint

This vehicle was sold with a Dodge Certification, which means the tires must be a minimum of 4/32 to pass that inspection. The inspection was completed on 7/1/2021 and the customer bought on 7/13/2021.Customer response
