I ordered a new power wheelchair through Access Mobility Products in August. *****************, an employee, refused to sell me a chair that fit my needs and forced me to buy a chair that creates dangers for me. When I brought up concerns about being able to get through doorways, *** suggested I remove the doors from my apartment. Instead of offering to switch out chairs, he said I just need a different seat. He conducted business in an unprofessional manner on many occasions - calling my support people and myself honey and sweetie, ignoring my questions and complaints, and making derogatory comments about my weight. The new seat for my power chair has finally arrived, but it wont fix the issues I am having. No matter how many times I express my complaints and try to get the right size chair, he continues to force the bigger power chair. I feel that I am being discriminated against based on my disability, age, weight, and ***. I have witnesses who can vouch for the way that *** has talked to and treated me.
