Initially I was happy with my roof/installation etc. but fast forward six years and I have water coming in the house. At first I thought it was a separation in the flash and after an argument with ****, the ***** on whether it was the original flash (despite being in the contract it was to be replaced) their sales person begrudgingly came out to check. Without even looking in the gutter, I was told my gutter was full of leaves (I have gutter guards) and that was probably causing water to come in the house and caused the exterior and interior damage. When I checked the area/gutter I pulled out a substantial roll of roofing nails (see included pictures) from the gutter which blocked the flow of leaves and water, causing the back up. Once the nails were removed water flowed freely. I went back to Sunset Ridge Exteriors with what I found, **** the ***** denied the nails are theirs and went so far as to suggest i placed them in the gutter myself. All Ive asked Sunset Ridge Exteriors for thus far, is to come back and check the area again and rest of my gutters to make sure there arent more of their nails in them, but Sunset Ridge Exteriors wont even commit to that. Sunset Ridge Exteriors has chosen blame me, and not assume any responsibility for correction. I think its safe to say I wont hear from Sunset Ridge Exteriors any longer as *** received an email to direct all future correspondence to his attorney. Sunset Ridge Exteriors was quick to cash my check but when you need them they are incredibly dismissive, have no sense of urgency. extremely accusatory and argumentative. The employees will tell you i am not the first to say this as well. So much for that warranty!

As we have responded to your numerous reviews across online platforms, we are sorry that you are experiencing issues with having to repair your interior walls as you informed us on 3/6/23. After our inspection on 3/14/23, we determined that the current leakage is not a result of the re-roofing we completed 6 years ago. When we shared this with you on 3/20/23,you replied that other sources informed you that a leaking roof is what caused your damage. Unfortunately, when we asked you for details about this information in order to both verify their credentials and collaborate to find a satisfactory solution, you continued to refuse sharing additional information.Your insistence was that the only acceptable answer for you was for us to address this immediately and for us to pay in full.

Despite our 3-year [from date of installation] limited workmanship warranty, and the fact that your work was completed 6 years ago, we still attempted to help solve your problem without charge. Your response to us not agreeing to your only acceptable answer was to tell us that you would get litigious. At this point, recognizing we could not reach an agreement, we provided you the necessary information to attempt resolving your dissatisfaction with our attorney at your request.
We do strongly suggest contacting a ***** to re-look at the previous repair work on the corner of your house and the other cracks and voids in the masonry and mortar joints.

      Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

The nails left behind by this roofing company, see attached pictures, caused the water to back up which led to the interior and exterior damage

      Regards,
