This place is an absolute joke. Funny how service can't find anything wrong then 3 days later the car over heats. Funny how I have to figure out the water pump was bad when you have done a "inspection" and the reservoir is right in front of that the car actually has oil in it. What's it take to be a "certified technician" putting on your Velcro shoes because tying them would be way to much. ********* won't stand up for himself, *** is a ****, and the other manager talks down to you. Learn to work with customers because you seem like you don't know what you are talking about about. Case in point!Still taking care of issues caused from car overheating. But every time I call they pick up the phone and hand up on me not helping at all.Lake Chevrolet, Inc. Response

I should I seen the red flag before I purchased this SUV from this dealership.Well June 2024 I purchased a $60,000 Chevy Tahoe Z71.I noticed there was really a bad smell in the vehicle .The smell was coming from the driver as well as the passenger floor was soaked with water . Tried bringing it up to the sales person Justin ****** attention and he was so unconcerned . Well I was told that they would treat it to remove the smell. But ,the problem still wasn't repaired/fixed.I have been back to the service department 4 times now for the same problem. First I was told that it was wet because the carpet was shampoo. Then I was told that it was the antenna and that was suppose to have been replaced. The next time I went I was told it was the sunroof.Even after supposedly fixing the sunroof the floor inside still got soaked again .Went back AGAIN and was told it was the sunroof for the second time after they said it was fixed again for the second time. The vehicle still smells like mildew .I can't have my children's inhaling that smell.Don't know if it would case respiratory problems for them later if they inhale it to much. This was purchased as a family vehicle . Can you believe that Adam didn't even shake my hand .Where is the integrity & professionalism ? How rude was that .I should be the one that was or is upset after purchasing a SUV for that much So I suggest you save your time , money and the headache.THESE GUYS ARE LIARS.!!!!!!! After they have completed the sale you are nothing to them . As consumer we need to start speaking up on money hungry businesses and holding them accountable .Or things will never changeReview from Chas O

I think they NEED TO GET RID OF SERVICE MANAGER ! He has the WORST Customer Relations that I have ever had with any Dealership in my 53 years ! Secondly , I took my vehicle to Lake Chevrolet because Ive had issues with my emissions ! Service took vehicle into the Tech. & I went to customers lounge . 10 minutes later service writer came back , and told us they needed to order parts , our vehicle wouldnt be ready until next day . I got back the next day , and asked if the emissions will pass now ! Service writer tells me they didnt do anything with engine . He told me they replaced actuators for Heat system . I was upset with the actions of Service , and I went to another Mechanic to find out if he could help me with Emissions ! He hooked up an Electrical Device , and mechanic told me the computer had been wiped clean of any CODES for the monitors that read the Emissions !I have no idea what to do , and how to pass Emissions to renew license plate stickers . I WILL NOT take back to LakeReview from Chad S.

Lake Chevrolet just robbed me! I have a 100,000 bumper to bumper warranty and they just charged me $90 for a diagnostic fee to tell me nothing is wrong with my truck. The check engine light was on. First time in my life I'm thinking of switching to a ford. I wish I could give them 0 stars.

I took my vehicle in for an estimate on 3/28, was told the soonest they could work on my vehicle was 4/12. I was told it was a one to two week repair. Brought in vehicle on the 12th. When I checked in on the 20th, I was told they hadnt even started to work on my vehicle until the 17th. They were backed up and very busy....So with this delay, now it will be two to three weeks. Checked back on the 27th, and was told would be ready no later than 5/2. Called on 5/4, and told still working on final item, and hopefully by 5/6. It was eventually delivered back to my on the 5th.Just very poor customer service in not being honest about the time for repairs, and delivery dates. This could all have been avoided by being honest about the dates upfront, and actually starting to work on my car on my appt date.Review from Neil B.

I went to Lake Chevrolet August of 2019 looking for a reliable truck for the company I started the previous year. I found a Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) 2016 Silverado. I told the salesman I would be putting a lot of miles on the truck & saw this truck had a 100k/6yr powertrain warranty. The man confirmed the warranty info & I asked that it was from the date I purchased the truck. I was told it would be covered. I decided to buy the 2016 Silverado because I felt that since it was a CPO vehicle & it had a 100k/6yr warranty it would be a good investment. Lake Chevrolet did the oil changes, maintenance & Transmission Flush as they suggested. In February 2022 the transmission failed. This failure has put my company in jeopardy. I spoke with the manager of the maintenance dept, he told me the est. cost would be close to $6k. I was told I should contact GM about the warranty to see what GM could do to help me. For over a week I went between GM & Lake Chevrolet. I went to the dealership & spoke with the manager in the Maintenance Dept. I asked if there was anything that could be done about the cost, & he said “I can’t spend GM’s money” it’s out of warranty. He treated me as if I was wasting his time so I asked to speak with his boss. He continued to talk about GM’s warranty & to work with GM. GM didn’t sell me a lemon CERTIFIED Pre-Owned truck. I spoke with the head of the dept & this man talked down to me like my purchase from them was not enough for them to even listen. He asked what year the truck was & when I told him it was a 2016, he acted surprised. I then went on to tell him that I brough the truck to them for all of the services & I even had a transmission flush as they suggested. He said that was good & it would help me. What will it help me with? He looked at the notes on file & said that they would need to take the transmission out to get a more detailed cost. I asked if it would be at my cost? & Yes, it would. They sell trash for a lot of money

Received from GM: If the vehicle is out of warranty GM will have limited control. While GM and dealerships have a relationship the dealers are separate entities and how they are willing to help their customers is at their discretion. (Lake tried to put it all on GM and spending GM's money) I know if they don't contact us regarding this issue we will not do any business in the future and will NOT refer anyone to them.Customer Response

Update 4/23/22: Keeping this short. Got call from Sales Manager asking for a call back about truck still at *********** said it would need to be towed if he didn't hear back. I called 4 times leaving a message each time. Never heard from the guy. Went to Lake to have it towed to a car repair business down the road from ********** that offers better service and isn't going to charge me double what it should. The manager of the service **** was the first to talk with me, I asked if I could have the keys to my truck and told him the situation I had delt with the previous month. He had no memory of the situation, asked who I spoke with (HIM) and I asked for my keys and it took over 30 min to find my keys. DON'T BUY FROM THEM! BUYER BEWARE!!! Please look at other dealerships before getting anything with them.Review from Rebecca

I am not surprised that most of these reviews involve Nick in the service department. Because that is why I am here. I am a customer of Lake Ford, where I was always treated well. I bought a 2020 Ford Fusion in September and Alec was wonderful. This past week, I opened my trunk and the trunk shattered the back windshield. I was completely flabbergasted that this could happen. Since I just bought the car and bought extended coverage I decided to call the dealership. The number I called and prompts I followed took me to Nick. I had no idea I was actually talking to Nick from Chevrolet and not Nick from Ford. He asked for my phone number and I told him what was happening. He said, no problem, you are covered, call this number and get the vehicle towed here and that he was there until 5:30-I asked about a loaner vehicle and he said of course I could use one. I thought to myself, great! Everything will be taken care of, I am grateful I called! Fast forward, I Uber to Lake Ford and immediately they are confused-I told them I didn't make up my conversation and I re-called the number I called and it rang at Lake Ford. The service people discovered that I had been talking to Nick from Chevrolet. They had no idea why I was there and things were confusing. I asked for a loaner vehicle while my car was being towed. They didn't have any at Lake Ford, so they shuttled me to Lake Chevy. Immediately, I encountered the worst customer service experience in my 32 years on this planet. Nick approached me, arms crossed, and told me that he didn't appreciate me lying to Lake Ford that I said everything was covered. I was flabbergasted that this was the same person. He was cruel, defensive, and lying himself about our phone encounter. I was so taken aback that he was being so mean that I confronted him about his defensiveness. He just kept calling me a liar and that he had no idea what comprehensive was or who I was. I told him, you looked me up and checked? If you are confused you need to have better policies. That infuriated him even more. He told me that we could pull up our conversation and listen it together. I said, okay, if that's what needs to happen. He said, it will take IT a half an hour. I said okay, that's fine since I didn't make up any of our conversation. Then, he was even more angry if that is even possible and he actually had the gall to bet on his CHILD's LIFE that he was right and I was wrong. I was incredibly disgusted and told him, that was a very sad thing to bet. Then, out of spite, he told me he was not going to let me use the loaner car. I then said, I don't want your loaner car anyway and I proceeded to walk out, sit on the curb in freezing weather, while 6-7 service men watched from inside. Todd R******, do yourself and your business a favor and move him far far away from any customer interaction.
