Company refuses to unsubscribe users who did not sign up for their email chains. I have made multiple attempts to click their unsubscribe button and contact the emails on their websites under contact. It is illegal to not unsubscribe from most types of emails in *****************. The CAN-SPAM Act, which is enforced by the ************************ (FTC), establishes rules for commercial email and gives recipients the right to stop being emailed.Business response

Hello,I am assuming this email allegedly from the Central **** BBB is bogus because the complaint registered most certainly is.We have no one by the name of ********************* and no ****************** on any of our lists of any kind. There are other Daily Reporters in existence and the complaint writer chose the wrong one. Tridentautomation.com is a ********* company, according to the internet, and there is a Daily Reporter there (see screen shot below). Looks like this person should have done his homework.- **********************************************************************PublisherThe Daily Reporter************************************************************, ** 43215-5659~Phone: ************ (6397)FAX: ************Customer response

Better Business Bureau:
I accept the business's response to resolve this complaint. This was meant for The Daily Reporter of *********, not the Daily Reporter Online out of ****.

The Daily Reporter became aware of ******************** complaint on Feb. 21, 2024, when he sent an email. He said he's been trying for months to unsubscribe, but that seems unlikely since all you have to do is click optout on any of the alerts we ************'re permanently removed. Per CAN-SPAM you have 10 business days to remove someone from your list, and we did so the same day on Feb. 21, 2024. According to our records, he hasn't received anything since. I've attached the screenshot of when the optout was processed.Customer response
