AVOID THIS VET! I brought our dog in (for a third visit) as he was not responding to the medication he was prescribed by Dr. ***** The dog was on the floor and the vet came in and didnt even exam the dog but instead pulled up his blood test results and told us he had a very bad infection. I inquired what it was from and did not get an answer. He said it would be extremely costly if we wanted to bring him to a hospital and then he offered to euthanize him at that time. I asked what was the infection from and he just said it was really bad and gave me no other information and again offered to euthanize him. We decided to bring him to ************************** and the first thing they did was examine him and do an x-ray. A large mass was found inside on his spleen. Three days later they did an operation to remove it (it was not cancer) and after two weeks the dog is doing fantastic and is back in health. Since Dr **** at the West Burleigh Vet clinic never did an x-ray they misdiagnosed the problem and we put the dog through weeks of medication that was not needed. The lack of care to properly diagnose the problem and Dr. **** wanting to euthanize him with no exam is inexcusable! If you care about your pet I would definitely avoid the West Burleigh Vet clinic!

All they care about is money. My dog had been prescribed two different antibiotics that still haven't worked for a UTI. They also had me come in and buy special food. They have taken 2 urine tests and one blood test (blood test came back normal) and the blood results were delayed. They didn't take a urine the day they got the blood. Then charged me for keeping her there to get a urine test done when I had to bring her back. I gave them a phone number to call when she was done. So 4 1/2 hours later they still hadn't called and then my daughter called and was told they were just about to call her. They kept her there for almost 5 hours to get a urine sample to charge me for a half a day of boarding that wasn't needed. I was told that they were trying to help me by figuring something out and never told they were going to charge me for a drop off. Then I was told they cant wave a magic wand and make the dog go to the bathroom. She urinated three times when I got her home. They have not called back with the results of the second urine test yet. So far I have had to make 6 trips back and forth. I will have to make another trip to get more medication and it will be my last trip. Its a money racket. It will have been almost $1000 for a UTI.
