April 28, 2023 a boat motor was purchased from Lake Country Recreation in **********, *********. The advertisement stated it came out of a running boat and was a good motor with 317 hours. The motor was purchased for $800 cash. It was a 12 hour drive. After returning home I brought the motor to my mechanic who confirmed it was seized as the bolts were still there from trying to manually turn it over and the spark plugs were rusted and had been removed.We called ***** immediately who assured us it was an honest mistake. He said either the wrong motor was pulled, and he would make it right via a refund, or get us the motor we were sold. We called and left messages many times. Sometimes he responds and sometimes he doesn't, but here we are 6 weeks later with no motor, no refund, no date, and no response again!He told us he has a truck in our area every two weeks, and he would pick up the motor with a refund in hand after all the hassle. I just want my money back and don't understand why he doesn't stand by his company and do the right thing.Business response

On September 15, 2022 I paid Lake Counrty Rec. $500 for winter ** storage. I went to the facility where the ** would be stored in order to look at it for myself as I have never use this business as services before. I gave ********************* a check for $500 that day and the storage was to be from November through March. I texted at ************, on 10/31 /22 to inform ********* be bringing the ** in the weekend of 11/12/22. He replied sounds good. 11/5 I texted him again and got no reply. 11/9 texted again to affirm the time and business info. No reply. 11/21 I texted I have not been able to reach you after numerous attempts, I had to seek an alternate storage location because you wont reply. Please refund my money via check or PayPal. In addition to the texts, I tried to call as well but dont have the dates because it was from my work phone. The initial contact was thru email via ********** where his business was advertising. The address I went to was ***************************************. This was a commercial building with rooms off to the side. I just simply want my money to be refunded as it is clear they had no interest in actually renting me a indoor winter storage parking spot for my ** once they had the money. The property location does list to Lake Counrty Rec on the ********** website, and the tax parcel number lists to Full House 2 LLC. ******** also has the person I spoke to listed as *************************, married to ***************************, and has a picture of someone with a helmet on a jet ski and profile picture of a white man and blonde white woman, both wearing blue and white ****** racing shirts. He is also wearing a blue baseball hat with blu cru in a circle logo on it. On 12/22/22 I also messaged him via ******** under Lake Country Recreation. Thank you for your time.Business response

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offerThe business emailed me and asked for my address again. I gave it to them and they said they would resend out the check. That was on Jan 4 and I have not received the check yet. Also I have tried to contact them however their phone goes direct to voicemail and emails are not answered.
