My sunroof broke with in the first 3 days. **** verbally said they would fix it; the part was on back order then came and 9 months later after numerous calls texts and emails. They still will not fix or address the situation and I have warranty which they may not have paid , but collected the money when I bought the car and hence, them not paying .Business response

Dear ********************,
***************************** purchased a 16 ******** **** #***************** on 10/3/2023. She also purchased a ************* plan and a Service contract. She was given the option of what plan to buy and what they were for. She was given information on what the service contract covered; which includes mechanical malfunctions and not regular mechanical wear and tear. Three to five days after she purchased the vehicle, she contacted her salesman ****. I asked if it had ever worked, or if it never did. She stated that it had worked, but then quit. We took the vehicle immediately to RMF ************ to diagnose the problem. They stated that it was the rear rails in the sunroof track. The rails were on back order and could only be ordered from *******. We ordered it and waited forever to receive the part which was totally beyond our control. We gave the part to ******** and told her to make an appointment at her convenience to get it installed. RMF attempted to install the rail and realized that it was much more extensive to fix. The quote for the repair then became $5400.00. We contacted the Service warranty company to see if they would cover the repairs, but we were told that the sunroof rails were considered body parts and therefor are not covered. At this point, we stated that we would help with the repair, but would not cover the entire cost. We also stated that if she was unhappy with the service contract, she could cancel it and get her money back for it and we would give her $1000 toward the repair.
