In May 2021, my husband and I met with representatives from Revi Design to discuss a plan for landscaping of our new home. In July, when I had not received or heard anything about the plan yet, I called to ask the status. I spoke to the President of the company, and he was very disrespectful and told me to wait in line. In August, since we had still not heard from anyone at Revi, my husband finally laid sod and rocks himself. On September 22, 2021, I received an invoice (#*****) in the amount of $1,653.71 for Design Fee for agreed upon survey and concept work. This invoice was dated 7/15/2021 and as of the date this invoice was received (9/22/21) I hadnt even yet received a plan. I mailed a letter, which I have attached to my complaint, to Revi Design, stating that I would not be paying this **** and explained why. I then received a voicemail stating, they had been trying to get a hold of me, but that was the first time I had heard anything from them. After that voicemail, I received an email stating we dont normally do business this way, but here is your plan. The plan attached to the email wasnt even for my house. In fact, there are two pages and two different homes clearly shown and neither home is mine. First and foremost, on the first page of the plan, the home has the garage on the complete opposite side of the home. Both pages of the plan show preserving trees or moving hostas and my home had zero landscaping, as it was a new build. The second page of the plan shows the home being on ****** St and that is not the street I live on. Also, the plan shows an approximate design review week of June ***** and we never met with anyone from Revi after the first time in May. I have now, in February 2022, received another invoice, marked Past Due. There have been no services rendered from Revi Design and nothing but terrible customer service. At my business, we use ***** landscaping services and Im shocked at the treatment I am receiving.

      Response:

As you will see from our timeline below, that is also reflected within our supporting documentation, this client complaint is very much unwarranted against our company.

May 3rd,2021 = REVI sends email, thanking the owners for their time in meeting the previous week and attaches the design fee estimate for services to be completed.

May 5th,2021 @ 1:15pm = Owner sends response to REVI, agreeing to move forward with the aforementioned design fee/email.

May 5th,2021 @ 2:42pm = REVI sends email back to owner, thanking them and informing of next steps to be taken.

May 24th,2021 = REVI sends email to owner to update on progress and to let them know we are still on track for original design review timeframe of June 14th.

      NO RESPONSE FROM OWNER

June 9th,2021 = REVI sends email to owner asking for design review availability again.

      NO RESPONSE FROM OWNER

June 14th,2021 = REVI sends email to owner, again asking for potential design review dates.

      NO RESPONSE FROM OWNER

June 16th,2021 = REVI makes contact with owner over cell phone, but owner has bad service so call is lost.

June 18th,2021 = REVI sends email to owner, following up on dropped phone call and yet again asking about potential design review dates.

      NO RESPONSE FROM OWNER

June 22nd,2021 = REVI makes another phone call attempt, this time recording that call attempt, proving a voicemail is left for owner.

      NO RESPONSE FROM OWNER

June 25th,2021 = REVI sends email with ALL essential deliverable design/support materials agreed upon to perform, as owner still has not responded.

      NO RESPONSE FROM OWNER

July 15th, 2021 = REVI mails design fee invoice, as REVI had completed all services previously agreed upon by client and REVI.

      NO RESPONSE FROM OWNER

September 22nd, 2021 = REVI emails design fee invoice.

September 22nd, 2021 = Owner contacts REVI owner ********************* and very rudely tries to convey their opinion of the matter and ultimately hangs up on *********************.

*Current = REVI continues to send invoice in the attempt to be paid for services provided

Please call or email me back to confirm this has been received and hopefully applied to this bogus complaint.

      Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

First and foremost, the timeline provided by the company is absolutely inaccurate. There was a call from Revi in which I had poor reception and dropped the call, but this was after I spoke to the owner and after my husband had already laid sod himself. I felt no reason to return their voicemail at this point. As previously stated, I did not receive any invoices until late September and all invoices were sent via ***** The only email I ever received after the initial correspondence in *** was the one with the plan, which was sent after I sent the letter to Revi in September.
Regardless of each of our timelines, which clearly don't match up, the main focus here should be on the plans. In their response, Revi did not reference the fact that the plan is not for my home. In fact, the plan has two pages and each page has a different home, neither of which are mine. Am I really expected to pay for a plan of a home that is not mine? This fact alone negates any agreement we may have had. I received no plans for my home.
When I spoke to ****, the owner, I did hang up on him. I do not talk to clients the way he talked to me and refuse to be treated as poorly as he treated me. As a business owner, I cannot fathom speaking to a client that way. I understand there were people ahead of me, but there are ways to address customers and treat them with respect.

      Regards,
