Contract was signed on 2/12/2024 and first payment by cash was made of $1500.00.*** had said it would be about 3 weeks before he could start he started work on 4/8/2024. The 2nd payment of $1500.00 was made by ***** on 5/1/2024,I asked him then how much longer for bathroom completion he said one more week.(this obviously took longer, On Monday 6/10/2024 asked for half of the last payment $750 was made by *****. He came Tuesday picking up the dirt and concrete from the opening on the floor for bathroom pipes. He picked up his stuff and sent me the last payment request. The bathroom still has unfinished items that I emailed him about and he has not responded back. I ask if he was done with the work then he would be paid in full from the money already paid to him $3750.00. Or he can come back and finish the sloppy job that was left. I emailed him again the following day and still no reply/response from him. I have pictures of the unfinished work I want to know if I need to get someone else to finish the job and if so depending on the quote I get ***************** can pay that amount. Or he can come back finish the job without any attitude. The floor self leveling he poured is not leveled at all and the *** floor that was put when you walk on them we can feels the gaps/bumps in some parts. The opening from the toilet was to close to the frame that we mentioned it 3 times and he said it was fine.he ended up breaking the concrete again to fix the toilet hole and this time he left a bigger gap behind the toilet 4 inches from the wall. We will need to get creative to provide support for the back of the toilet tank.***************** would over mix materials like self level, mortar,Grout ,cement and any left over would let sit to dry out and then continue to ask for more materials to complete the job.Behind the bathroom wall in the laundry area we were suppose to have an access drained the material was bought but not installed either. have more pictures system not letting me load.

Hello,  I am genuinely shocked that ****************************** would assume that I would show up with an "attitude"? I have never showed up at the job site (their home) with an attitude in fact per her review on the BBB site pertaining to the plumbing repair I completed for them she actually mentions how polite and well mannered I was so why she would think that I would show up now with an "attitude" I am simply not understanding. Also *************** states the estimated time frame for the scope of work to commence. Wich indeed was estimated at 3 weeks however  what *************** did fail to mention was the fact that the earliest appointment to obtain a permit was not and could not be had in the 3 week time frame that was the estimated time frame for work to commence wich both *************** and her significant other were both made aware of. Also what *************** fails to mention is the threat of breaking our signed contract and just "taking her deposit back" due to myself not being able to obtain an earlier date  for said permit  wich is documented and wich her significant other even mentions was unreasonable and harsh , and was/is also witnessed and documented. However as soon as the permit was obtained work commenced immediately. The very next day actually.I do sincerely apologize that I could not get an appointment to obtain a permit as soon as *************** would have liked, if i could have rushed the date or got an appointment set for an earlier date i most certainly would have to appease *************** but unfortunately that was the earliest date available to me. Also i would like to add that i  indeed tried to get an earlier appointment by being put on a list in case there were a no show at an appointment  i could get in sooner but unfortunately i didnt recieve that call and had to wait for my appointment date. However  During this project I did take a few days off due to my mother passing away  and not long after the passing of my mother I recieved news that my father was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer and is at a stage that is not curable and was placed on hospice immediately, and I admit that yes when I received this news while still grieving the death of my mother their were two times I took an early weekend (not working friday) so that I could drive to my fathers house on Friday (10 hour drive) and could spend Friday night, saturday and part of Sunday morning with my father  and family . **** again both *************** and her significant other were both made aware of and both admitted to being content with my decision to take an early weekend the two times that I did to be with my dieing father. so yes I most certainly admit that I did give an estimated completion date of around 1 week and I admit due to unforseen circumstances I was unable to complete the project in the estimated week completion date and I truly apologize for that I do. However while grieving the death of my mother and receiving the news of my father with stage 4 cancer I never stopped work on this project ,furthermore in the contract for this project that we both read and both signed and both have a copy of it clearly states and I quote " All agreements contingent upon strikes, accidents,or delays beyond our control"  again I apologize for not completing the project In the estimated week time frame I gave to *************** the passing of my mother and the news of my father were indeed  unexpected delays beyond my control and clearly legible on the contract we both read, signed and have a copy of. Also *************** insinuated that I came on Tuesday just to pick up my tools and some concrete debris and demanded my final payment. I sincerely apologize for any confusion *************** may have experienced but this and I am sorry to say ,but this  unfortunately is not true nor an accurate description of the events that took place on the Tuesday *************** is mentioning. I did show up on Tuesday and I did clean up debris and I did pack up the rest of my tools and load them into my truck however I also grouted tile, caulked, built reinforcement for the slide out drawers under the stairs and ate lunch prepared by ***************** significant other. I did not just show up clean up debris and my tools and demand final payment that to unfortunately is not true. Also *************** mentions the bathroom floor is not leveled. And unfortunately this to is not true and is also documented. The bathroom in question is located in the basement and therefore like any other basement in the country when the basement floor is poured it is built/poured In a way that leaves the entire basement floor pitched/angled downward from the outside walls to the basement drain this is done so if any water were to achieve access to the basement area it would be directed towards the basement drain by way of the pitched floor and routed from there to either the sump pump or directly to the main drain so the water that did achieve access to the basement can also exit naturally taking away the pitch would simply be asinine as the basement area would then flood however with self leveling compound applied to the bathroom area floor it did take away any imperfections from the concrete floor and did indeed level the bathroom area floor  however this was done without taking away the pitch from the floor that has been there since the foundation was poured and this house was built again that would simply be asinine to do as the basement would flood at a house that already is sitting in a high water area as drain tiles were installed in the past due to exactly this, the basement flooding this to is also documented also *************** mentions the lvp flooring and again I apologize for any confusion but let me elaborate. Lvp floor (luxury vinyl plank) is a free floating floor system and a great choice for any floor in my opinion however free floating means exactly this it's free floating it's not attached to the floor underneath it, it is a system ment to move and float if you will it's what it does and this to was explained to both *************** and her significant other prior to install. Also *************** mentions the toilet being to far from the wall and that *************** and her significant  other both mentioned it "three times" that part is true they both did mention that they assumed the toilet ****** was to close to the wall because of what they both read wherever they read it  however the toilet not fitting is not true it would have fit and placed correctly however since both *************** and her significant other insisted actually more then 3 times that because of whatever they read and apparently knowing more then the contractor they hired that the ****** for the toilet was placed to close to the wall and that they read that the ****** should be placed further from the wall I did indeed again just to appease *************** and her significant other moved the ****** to the their desired location based off of what they read I did exactly what they both asked of me regarding the toilet ****** against my better judgement and know how I did what *************** and her significant other repeatedly asked me to do and now it's brought up in this complaint because I did what they asked me to do repeatedly and since they were misinformed they do not like the fact that the toilet is sitting further away from the wall where *************** and her significant other repeatedly told me to put it and for this again I apologize for doing exactly what you both repeatedly asked me to do. Also *************** mentions "the over mixing of type s mortar (8 dollars per 80 pound bag, and thinset 20 dollars per I believe 50 pound bag) I did not intentionally over mix the mortar or the thinset that is simply not true I must mention that unfortunately measuring cups are not a tool brought to jobsites and I must admit this is a first for me as far as a complaint on mortar and thinset however was their a little mortar left in the mixing bucket? Yes of course was their a little thinset left in the mixing bucket? Yes of course buy not enough to be of any significance we don't make a mess and scrape the sides of the mixing buckets at the end of each work day no we do not we let it ****** over night and the following day we place the mixing bucket over a construction trash bag and tap the sides of the bucket with a hammer to knock loose the mortar and the thinset from the sides of the mixing buckets. Also what *************** fails to mention is all the free time, free work that she and her significant other recieved during this project and how many times they both changed ideas along the way *************** fails to mention everything that was done here. We patched up tucking pointing in exterior of the house to cover approximately 40 percent of the house, also patched foundation walls were bathroom is located, we also removed a basement window that was already partially blocked by the concrete patio behind it and we built it in with new cinder block and the tuck pointed the Fondation wall we also painted the entire area of Fondation walls located in the bathroom area we then applied hydrflex to ensure a waterproof barrier, we also installed all new plumbing, drain, electrical, custom tile shower, toilet vanity, floor, framed in a wall, drywall, texture ,slide out drawers under the stairs, installed door etc for the total price of 4500 dollars. Also what *************** mentions is the things left unfinished? Miss naters significant other offered to caulk by the door, apply texture to small area behind toilet ,by exhaust/heat lamp etc etc in turm for all the free work I did here so yes after I was told this I finished packing up my tools and sent a request to miss ***** for my final payment only to be declined and now recieve this complaint along with asking for a full refund for all of the work completed? After final payment was declined ***************** significant other sends me a picture of the tempered glass shower door that he had shattered in a fit of anger wich is also documented i also want to add that this entire project was a budget project every material used in this project was purchased used everything the only things that were bought new were the thinset and the mortar wich coincidently are the only two materials that *************** is upset about. **** was not mentioned and I understand the low income budget build but this is simply ridiculous wanting a remodel done for free, over things miss naters significant other already stated he would take care of in return for all of the free work I did for them

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

[Hello,  ***************** the first time we contacted him regarding a plumbing issue was back in December 2023 and yes he was polite and fix the issue we were having at that moment. In regards to the Bathroom project there would be days he was fine and polite and other days were he seems to be in another place, could possibly be because of his fathers situation and we were very understanding about that. ****************** want to indicate that the permits take a while if he knows the process from previous other projects then he should have requested the permits back in February when we paid him the deposit. When i search the permit he requested the day before starting the project on 04/07/2024 (this is from the permit page) on the same note of Permits i am not sure but it states Basement Room , Build a non structural wall to complete a room in the basement.  When i called the permit they stated it was pulled as a low baring wall?? No inspection was set up by *************** with the inspector. At this moment i am not sure if the money i have paid ***************** and the expense for this bathroom at the end of the day i don't even know if the bathroom is legally permitted or not. ***************** brought someone else to work on the electrical part but i do not see a permit being pulled for that either.  Regarding the toilet you will be able to see from the pictures that were he made the hole it was too close to the frame ,wall (when we brought it to his attention, after he poor the concrete on the floor and self leveling he then realize what we had  been telling him al along about the space that he had to break the floor concrete and correct his error, not because we were telling him so. If he is a License contractor he should know this things, even the toilet box tells you a 12 inch roughing .***************** mentioned not carrying  a measuring cup to measure the cement and mortar, grout, thinset to avoid over mixing and wasting materials a contractor should know this things.  ***************** mentioned we had used all used thing for this bathroom regardless if they are used or not (which they were new i have receipt for everything, the only used part was the glass shower doors, this was suppose to be a budget project in which between his Labor and items bought it has been around $8,000.00. He was suppose to give us an access to the pipe behind the wall next to the dryer ,he left the hole we bought the part and we not sure what happened to that part.  I will be emailing more pictures of proof of the work. We have had two other Contractors look at the bathroom to see if they can finish the work ****************** did not finish but they both have said " we need to gut everything and start all over again estimating the project to between $10,000 -$17,000.00. This has become a nightmare. The niche that was created by Mr ************* is not pitch towards the front, meaning water stays standing and does not drain. At this time i would like a full refund of his labor and material spent since for the looks of it we will need to start all over the correct way. Please see email with more photos and video of the bathroom.  Thank you    *******

Ok first off everything was bought used it was a budget build wich Is fine but everything purchased was not purchased new that is a lie apparently turning into a trend here. And I refuse to sit here and be bashed honestly. My head wad in other places? Again what does the issue with what my father has going on have any bearing on what or why ***** would assume I would show up with an attitude? Every review i have on here states how well mannered iam  including hers ? Also the fit of anger bursting from her significant other shattering the glass shower doors wich are tempered glass by the way isn't mentioned? Imagine that? Also again iam not going to play these games with an adult acting like a child throwing digs out there "if" I was licensed wich of course and obviously I am maybe this is why ***** expects me to show up with an attitude ? **** again assuming wrong but ok I understand her way of thinking I suppose. And no, contractors don't bring measuring cups my apologies for not scarping the pales/ buckets. I don't know of one contractor who does but ok I suppose they all should do these things? And again toilet was not to close to the wall but thank you for proving me rite like I said they repeatedly acted like they knew more then the guy they hired so I placed the toilet exactly where they wanted and that was 12 inches from the wall just like they both said repeatedly. Now they don't like that ? But I did exactly what they asked of me ? And the permit was not for a load bearing wall this is public record for anybody to look up that to is a lie. And again first complaint said I didn't self level the floor until I posted pic with their complaint and no mention of that? The "other guy" I brought in for electrical is actually a license electrician and ***** is aware of this as she also called him threatening him as well I have prove of this as well when the electrician showed up no mention of anything about anything but she called threatening to complain to the BBB about him as well. When my electrician said whoah maam I have no issues going and pulling the permit but you'll be responsible for the cost ***** did not like that one bit but in the contract we both signed it clearly states that the homeowner is responsible for the cost so of that wad a huge factor for ***** why the attitude from ***** when she was told she would be required to pay for it?  This is clearly a money grab with dishonest people trying to get stuff for free every day that I showed up to the site both natet and significant other were present so clearly either are working wich makes this make more since. Funny or coincidence claiming the bathroom has to be gutted? And their son lost his job and picking up "handyman" gigs ? Ok. I addressed everything in naters first complaint when I responded she/***** avoided basically all of the facts presented In my response and drifted on to something else entirely portraying me the bad guy another coincidence? Tile, shower, shower pan etc done correctly and does not require a permit so why would this need to be gutted? The self leveling on the floor, the lvp floor ,base trim etc doe not require a permit and also done correctly so why does this need to be gutted? Again clearly a money grab by dishonest people. The living quarters in the basement for the mother in law is not permitted does not have a second exit, proper ventilation, proper lighting etc does this room need to be gutted as well? I believe the only way to get an honest answer out of ***** is in court where she will be under oath and facing perjury. She threatened my licensed electrician until she realized she would have to do what the contract states and pay for the permit wich my electrician was willing to do and also sent me documentation proving a permit wasn't needed for what he done but that conversation once money wad involved was dropped by ***** another odd thing about all of this is the fact that not once did i deal with ***** I was hired by the significant other, dealt with the significant other I did not realize until the contract was signed that ***** was the one who owned/purchasing the home but the entire time I dealt with her significant other? Permit for electrical work done by my electrician isn't an issue bater was told this she did not does not want to pay for it. Pernit for building was obtained and again public record there was one wall built to complete the room that is all that was needed and it is not for a load bearing wall that is simply asinine as why would it need to be a load bearing wall? It does not. So again why would everything need to be gutted?  I would like to see documentation of these "estimates " proof that these so called contractors that are not related to ***** or her significant other actually came out. My bottom dollar would bet that if their truly were they are related to ***** or her significant other this is clearly a money grabbing scam and the truth will not fully present itself obviously unless ***** is under oath

[Please type your response here.]Hello again, I will not sit here to be called a Scammer, I work from home that is why ***************** saw me at home all the time, and my significant other  is disable. At this time it is irrelevant who comes to visit me at my house or not. The issue here is that i have an unfinished bathroom and ***************** from Perfection In Home Renovations did not complete, it just baffles me that he would want to put his name stamp on the project and not be completed at all. In no way shape or form are we scammers like he stated. ***************** is lying about us threatening the Electrician , we asked about the permit situation that was all. The electrician stated ***************** has not paid him because he told them we did not pay him which is a lie. i have all the proof of payments made to *****************. I paid ***************** on 05/01/2024 $1500.00 and then again half of the last payment on 06/10/24 $750.00, the electrical work was done on 05/28/24 ************* was the person that worked in the bathroom.

Regarding the other contractor input regarding gutting the bathroom and starting all over, ***************** is indicating they are family members, (if they would have been family member then why did i asked ***************** about doing a bathroom in my basement instead of the so call family members please make that make sense. .Since ***************** is not willing to reimburse me for the materials used and payment made to him, then we can take this to the next level under oath like he mentioned.

I would like this complaint to be public for other people to see and not to fall for his unprofessional work that does not get completed.

Work was not finished and what was done looks like c*** Put holes in finished ends, didn't install cabinets straight, didn't have proper tools for the job. Used a zawzall to cut holes in my sink cabinet. Handles all installed crooked. Stole my $40 dollar level. Never responded to finish the handles, install counter top and sink. Drilled holes fornthe handle on the wrong side of 1 cabinet and said he would replace the door. Installed a finished end cabinet in the wrong spot. Had to reorder the cabinet which was even more money. Had a professional from ******* come quote me to install my counter tops and its going to cost me 700 to fix the base cabinets which are not level. They have to raise half of them before the backsplash goes in. Also, raise them because the dishwasher would not fit correctly with a safety bar. He measured the counter tops and they had to get sent back because they were wrong. I wasn't going to say anything but the fact that I was ghosted for 2 weeks wasn't the correct way to go about things. Terrible work all together!!!I would never in a million years recommend this guy to anybody. With ordering a new door, a new finished end cabinet and paying a professional to install tops and fix the height of the cabinets, its going to cost me almost $2000.00!!!!

This is simply not true. I have everything documented via pics, text messages along with my help/employee as a witness. The height of cabinets do not and did not need to be adjusted that is simply not true. I have every cabinet installed documented  with pictures with a level sitting on each one. That is a blatant lie. Also it seams like a lot is being left out here like the fact that the customer broke the contract almost immediately, or the fact that I was given a picture of what the customer wanted to be built above the cabinets where the fridge sits and I built it to the "t" again all documented with pictures/witnesses. Only to not be paid for building it and it being taking down prior to us returning to the jobsite,or the fact that I pointed out damaged cabinets prior to install they were clearly marked with pink tape from the  manufacturer and yer the customer told me to just install them and we did only to have them taking down prior to us returning to the jobsite yet again so we installed the same cabinets twice even after notifying and showing the customer that they were damaged cabinets rite out of the box . So we never got paid for building the overhang but cabinets by fridge area, we also installed the same cabinets twice even after telling the customer that they were damaged rite out of the manufacturers packaging, but customer told us to install anyway only to end up installing same cabinets twice once the new/other cabinets arrived. Along with customer breaking the contract and again I have everything documented with pictures, text messages, and witnesses it seams after the customer broke the contract and had work done twice just because he wanted to i suppose and not due to incorrect installation  but in fact due to damaged cabinets  wich was pointed out to the customer, ontop of the overhang built and not being paid for that as well ,seams the work that was done the customer expects/wants to be done for free ontop of all the free work already. And again I have everything documented including the customer breaking the contract almost immediately and I have no issues sharing any of that information.

The job was done completely wrong. Every handle is crooked. My level was stolen from my home. I had to finish the installation of the cabinets. Half the cabinets were crooked. Showed up late and had no help. Did not have the proper tools to do the job. Looks like a beaver chewed up my new cabinets. Drill holes for handles in the wrong spot on a drawer and cabinet door. I also have pictures and all the texts. The contract was wrong as he pulled a fast one and didn't add what we talked about. We were supposed to do a backsplash but then said it wasn't in the quote and we talked about it before I even ordered the cabinets. Was supposed to do the floor but the rest was done like trash!!! I didn't want him touching anything else in my home. He said he would replace the door he drilled wrong. Ghosted me and rushed through the last time time to get some money. Had to send my counter tops back and pay even more money because it was wrong. Took the sink out and never finished what we agreed upon. I also helped with the removal of the old cabinets and I got rid of all of the trash. Showed up with a drill, a Sawzall and a level which i think is broken.

Their Seams to be alot if dishonesty going on here. Client states I had no help I've enclosed pic of one of my employees so in fact I did have help buy client states i did not.also client states he had to Install cabinets again via pic attached all cabi etc were In fact installed but client states he had to Install? Also client states that all the handles were installed crooked again via pic attached client is being dishonesty because the handles are installed correctly but the doors of the "scratch and dent cabinets" client purchased are all not level and need to be adjusted and the client was told this.also what the client fails to mention is the breach of contract on his part not the company's. Also what the client fails to mention is the electrician removing already installed cabinets to make their job easier ,  only to have us reinstall  the same cabinets twice also what the client fails to mention is the overhang that was built to dpec from a picture the client gave us only for the company to not be paid for it .it seams the client is trying to get a huge discount just like he recieved when purchasing the "scratch and dent " cabinets. Everything the client states in his comment is false and proven with the pictures I've attached

Ok so the pictures ****** provided were not what I was talking about and he is fully aware of that. I have posted the pictures which show that cabinet doors are adjusted(which i had to do to become he got his money and took off pretty quick). As for the "help" he had... it was his wife... i was told he had a group of 3 guys that have been doing this and helping him for awhile. I have no reason to lie. I spent 10k on this kitchen and it wasn't done professionally. The name of the company is "Perfection in home renovations"....Shouldn't the work that was done be somewhat perfect?? Bottom line is he knows he messed up and didn't say anything. I posted more pictures to show the handles messed up and holes in cabinets where they done belong. Also holes in finished ends. I would like the 2 doors to be replaced and ill eat the rest of the mistakes. He said he would replace 1 but there are 2 that were drilled and covered up.. This is not personal by any means. I paid a lot of money and my cabinets are ruined.

Also yes I had to remove and install cabinets by the refrigerator because they were installed crooked. The counter top wouldn't have fit and the upper cabinet was off by 1.5"

Please replace the 2 doors and ill be happy.

Client admitted he lied my help was not my wife client states I had no help in one complaint and then when I proved he wad lieing then the client switched their story. For the record my wife works at froedert she is a nurse my help the client claimed I did not have but then admitted that I did indeed have help was not my wife but anyway moving on second the client admits to removing his own cabinets wich again we're all installed level another lie the client was proven on what he did or how he did it Is on him and not on behalf of the company. Also client states in previous complaint that handles were crooked until I proved him wrong yet again with pictures and then the client states after I posted pictures that he indeed had to adjust the cabinet doors because they were all crooked and indeed needed to be adjusted not the handles what client did after breach of contract is out of the companies control and not the companies fault I have caught client in numerous lies and proven that he was and is lieing this alone should be enough to settle this complaint this is clearly somebody trying to get work done for free after breach of contract also for the record client states I took off pretty quickly after recieving money ?( 300 dollars to be exact ) wich also is a lie when client handed me 300 dollars it was at the end of the work day around 5 o'clock  if needed I can enclose bank statements theirvod no need for me to "run" off with 300 dollars again I've caught and proven in multiple fronts that client is blatantly lieing this alone again should be enough to settle this complaint period clientvos clearly lieing about everything he is stating period
