My family was in Wisconsin Dells on 8-20-23. We saw a sign for Dells Jet Boat Adventure (Lower Dells) which is operated by Dells Boat Tours. It was our first time ever doing this. We went to the ticket window to purchase tickets. The sign simply stated it was a high speed, high splash ride. There were no indications or expressed warnings that the people going on this boat ride would likely get soaked. The person in the ticket booth simply sold us the tickets with no other explanation or warnings of any kind. We are a military family of 4. We got a military discount, which was nice. The ride itself would have been a fun ride had we been given explanation of it & had the opportunity to prepare ourselves. My teenage daughter is ******** & cried for over half the ride because of how soaked she got. I felt awful as there was nothing I could do to console her. I am also a Type 1 diabetic. I wear an insulin pump (which is a very expensive medical device). I also had my purse with me which had my cell phone in it. We were not told or warned at all whatsoever how wet we would get on this boat ride. I was not asked, nor did I sign any kind of liability waiver at all. We were not warned or told that if we have any items we did not want to get wet, that we should leave them in our vehicle until after the boat ride. We were all completely drenched after this ride. My autistic daughter was miserable. My insulin pump & my purse got wet. I was thankful my insulin pump still worked after this. I emailed the company the morning of 8-21-23 and have not received any response. I think at the very least, an apology and a refund of ********* daughter's tickets would be appropriate. Also, all employees selling tickets should be explaining to customers the type of boat ride this is so people are more prepared (I would've brought some ponchos to protect our clothing) and if people have any valuables or electronics they don't want to get wet, to leave in their vehicles until after the ride.
