      We have been using Apple Valley Waste for garbage and recycling service for almost 9 years, and it is the only known provider in our location. In the past year, there have been more and more times when service is not provided at all. There are robo-calls noting delays in recycling service, or occasionally garbage service, and they instruct us to leave the bins out for another day or two... or then it will not be serviced at all. This happens 50% of the time now, without any reduction of fees!! They are very hard to reach by phone, and when I have reported issues they have consistently deflected responsibility: they don't know the pickup didn't happen, no one called them... or once, they left half the recycling behind in the yard because it was "too much" even though THEY were the ones not picking up the recycling weekly. Our neighborhood has bears, and leaving out bins leads to bears tearing into it all, and then there is garbage and recycling all over the place, which they never clean up. It has become exceedingly frustration. Our entire neighborhood has been discussing the problem, and it is not just our family that is affected. This is unacceptable. It is time for the company to compensate those of us who pay for weekly service, and are lucky to get service every other week. In addition, given that we are rural, it takes some real effort to take the recycling to the road, and to have to go back and forth with that on a consistent basis is time consuming, difficult, and excessive.

      Last two yrs apple valley has been speeding past house,not on major road just a lane with other houses around as well, plus not locking roll cans down which is safety violation and deserves fines and this happens outside of noise ordinance and all day everyday except Sunday. When they speed over bumps and stuff causes the unlocked cans to bounce and make uncalled for noise. Tried to attach video it won't let me

      Apple Valley Offers "Bulk Pickup" of larger items that do not fit in their normal bins. As a customer of over 15 years, we know about this service, and have used it frequently. Recently we contacted them about picking up pallets. They charged us for the pick-up, but didn't pick-up. When we contacted them, they told us that we needed to break them down. Never in the past have we had to break down pallets. Nor did they advise of such when we contracted for them to pick them up on the day they were supposed to.

      I had service through Apple Valley Waste until June 2022, I have provided them receipts of me throwing trash out at our local landfill and as they take cash not card there i do not have receipts with my address. They meaning Apple Valley Waste did not inform me that they would not take my receipts without an address once again that is not what I was told was needed I did provide them with the months receipts they needed they still only credited me back 82.09  after **. ******* called me back from where she said she had recording of her telling me she needed addressed receipts which she did not tell in email nor on the phone. She has now credited the account for only 40 dollars because she says that is how much i paid at the landfill well you are charged only $10.00 for a ton of trash i did not have a ton of trash so was not charged more by landfill even knowing this she said she would not credit me this she said it was policy but once again none of this was explained to me. I had not had my trash picked up by Apple Valley Waste since June of 2022 and they have made me pay 115.16 I do not feel I was given the correct amount as I provided them with the asked receipts for 4 months of trash disposal I had and 3months with Apple Valley Waste is well over 40.00 I am asking that I receive my credit I am due and that there be a mark against them as they have done this before and are getting money from people for not picking up the trash I mean they literally are getting free money for no service I have paid them for not picking my trash up. Seems like bad business they are also one of the only trash services near by and feel they can do this to hard working people.

      The pricing was increased because cost everywhere has increased therefore this is understandable however, the quality of the service has declined. For what I am paying the amount of times trash is missed, late or forgotten has become more and more frequent. My recent issue is that I have been requesting to return my recycle bin, receive my deposit back for the can and have it be picked up for several weeks now (documentation is attached) the last time I was told it would be picked up was the 13th of January and this did not happen. I would like to be refunded for the amount of the recycling i requested be stopped even though I feel I am due alot more due to all the issues I have been having with apple valley. Communications are attached. I am requesting my recycling bin be returned as soon as possible to apple valley as of the original date of request and to be reimbursed for missed pick ups and added issues. Thank you.

      Apple Valley Waste continues to be inconsistent in their provided service. They make up rules when it suits their poor and inconsistent trash collection. This morning, 3 additional household trash bags were placed next to our two trash cans. This is something we must do from time to time. They were regular kitchen trash bags with regular household trash in them, nothing heavy or out of the ordinary with regard to content...just household trash. They were not collected but left scattered all over the ground however the workers happened to knock them when they were done emptying our trash cans. My wife called to inquire as to why? She was told that we did not contact AVW in advance to notify them that there would be extra trash for pick up that week and therefore they were not responsible for hauling it away. What does that even mean? Its trash, its our trash and we pay them to haul our trash away. Its not as if we put an old couch, appliance, or yard waste out on the street. We understand that requires notice. This was just TRASH from the household...and worse off, we do this often and almost always it is taken, but not today. That being said, Apple Valley Waste won't come whenever it suits them on any given week or bi-week when it comes to our recycling with no advance notice. Sometimes they will contact us, but normally we have to contact them to find out why the service didn't come. They offer their excuse and normally we have to wait until the next week's service to have our garbage picked up. I can't tell you how many times that has happened. Never a credit offered off of our bill. This company provides inconsistent service at best and never makes good on their inconsistencies by way of their customer's billing, yet when we have 3 extra bags of trash next to our trash can, they tell us to notify them in advance so that their workers can grab those bags by hand and pick them up. Enough is enough!

      Apple Valley Waste is paid to collect our garbage weekly on Wednesday. Our trash has not been picked up since December 21st and today is January 5th. We received 2 calls during the week of December 26th indicating that our trash would be picked up on 12/29 then on 12/30 yet was not. When you call their business line you are not able to get through to a live person. I called today, 1/5 and I was on hold for 45 minutes before I needed to disconnect. When calling their line, their voice recording states that "there will be no disruption in trash service the week of Christmas". We have also tried to email the business with no response. Trash continues to mount from their customers and services are not being rendered.       Today is 4 weeks since our trash has been picked up with zero communication from them. Week after week, we wait on hold for extended time periods and then are promised pick up will be within the next day or two. Here we are 4 weeks later on pickup day and still no service. Weve called and left a message and the call was not returned. I paid for 3 months of service, a service that I am not receiving. they never left me a can, and my trash has only been collected a couple of times since payment. I am seeing a refund for the past 4 pickups as well as any future pickups.

      Trash was not picked up the next week after Christmas on various points of the mountain in different elevations (i.e., not all places ignored were above freeze line with ice), and most ice had melted by the Tuesday from previous Thursday storm. Yet drivers noted "ice" even though they were seen flying down the road that day and around the corner to the known icy road. When calling to find out why there was no service and when we would get pickup, the lady said she'd have to check with dispatch and get back to me. She never did. I waited on hold for 38min for that call. The next day, no response, emailed for updates, nothing. 3rd day, called again and waited another 35min, and was only then told about the driver citing "ice" as the cause and that it would be picked up at the next Tuesday pickup, after new year's. Today is Tuesday, Jan 3. No pickup again. I called and chose the option to be called back....nothing. I called back this afternoon and waited 1hr 5m and no answer what so ever. Just the continued message that "everything is running on time." At this point, with the company purposely avoiding calls, lying about pickups, and refusing to deal with a growing literal mountain of refuse....we have no other recourse than to report to the BBB and local government. The BBB is my last effort in hopes someone up the chain sees this and does something about it. We have no other available pickup here for trash and are continuously held hostage to the whims of this company with yearly price increases and service degradation. We understand if there are challenges or issues....what is not acceptable is outright lies and ghosting of your customers. We paid for a service, you're required to follow through with that.

      On behalf of my 85 year old mother: Apple Valley Waste has continued to provide, or, I should say, NOT provide trash collection service even though they are receiving payment automatically from checking account. Trash is to be picked up every Friday but there is usually at least, at least! one Friday per month where it is not (and it is not a holiday or weather-related issue). Since November 4 I have complained twice about trash not being picked up 2 weeks in row. It's always "there has been a "delay" of service" but no explanation provided nor a credit issued for lack of service. This is not just a location issue - it is a company issue. They are collecting payment for services not provided.
