I made final payment in November of 2020 the 3 car garage I had built was not completed and there was things wrong with it and both the seller and contractor was contacted about the problems and said they would be out to fix them and finish the job and here it is may 2021 and the repairs and finishing the job has not been complete, I had a ****** ******** tractor stored in this garage and when I came up for memorial day it was gone. later I found out someone I know came and borrowed it and when asked how that got in they said it was easy just pushed on the door. this is one of the things that was suppose to be fixed and was not the screws holding the corner caps on was not completely screwed in and that has not been fixed. I contacted eastern building about these problems and also the contractor they had build it was told they will be out in Dec of 2020 to repair/finish job and as of may 2021 it has not been done. I have contacted eastern building several times this year with no answer and since it is still and on going problem should I be asking for a 20% return since it has not been completed so I can finish it.Business response

I wasn't aware there was an issue. We've been trying to contact the customer to schedule a time to look at the building.Business response

After a visit to the building; the concrete contractor poured concrete up under door threshold which causes the door to tighten up and not shut. We added 4 screws to the building. The concrete contractors had concrete all over building and damaged several pieces trim. Building looks good to me. It appears someone is attempting to do some building inside, which was a mess. Other than 4 missing screws the concrete man is the one the caused the issue with the door and damaged several pieces of metal & trim.Customer response

Better Business Bureau:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
look at the front corner and you can see screw pattern, then look at the back and you can see how many are missing. Eastern was contacted before concrete was poured, there is a quarter inch cap between threshold and floor. the door jam had to be chiseled out new lock plates put on and relocated the plates, then the dead bolt was added. i have additional pictures of the windows not squared up right which i fixed to be able to get windows to open, if you want i can get a statement from the other contractor on the workmanship put into this building. there was no bride of work put into this building. i myself was a carpenter for 8 years. and was a partner in a small construction company. there is pictures of split lumber used, all of these pictures was sent to eastern in emails, which i still have on file, i do not like anyone to lay the blame on someone else for there poor work. eastern never came out to my house to look things over and go over plans they said they would leave it up to the sub contractor even after complaint they never came out to try and get things right. the phone calls and emails stopped after we made the complaint on the garage work.
