Took my vehicle for an inspection they took my sticker off and put reject sticker on said my license plate lights were not in the correct place my tires were bald and a lot of other issues. I thought was kinda funny because I took it to a place before them and they said there was nothing wrong with my tires. My vehicle is unsafe? Let’s start with the first thing you failed. My license place lights needs to be in a in stock location and fixed?? There is nothing wrong with my license plate light it’s in the same spot it has always been when the car was made. How can someone even move a light?? 2nd I’ve had 2other mechanics look this car over and there was no bondo holes in my vehicle My back bumper isn’t even rotted there is no rust on my bumper if it was rotting away it would be hanging off? Before I brought the car for the inspection another mechanic told me my tires were just fine they still had plenty of tread left on them didn’t even need replaced If my exhaust was hanging it would be a lot louder than what it is and would litterly be hanging but it’s not ?? My flex pipe isn’t even breaking. My parking break is the only problem that is wrong with this vehicle. I want to report them for false information considering I took my same car to a dealer and they put a passed inspection sticker on it after c&c made me pay for there false accusations and reject sticker

I would like to start off by saying that I am the lead inspector at this establishment, and the guidelines I go by are not set by us, these guidelines are set by the state of WV. With me going by these guidelines, the first thing I must do is verify that the tags are up to date, then I move the vehicle into the inspection bay, at which time I am required to remove the inspection sticker. Next, I Starr my inspection, and when the checklist is complete, I must then determine if the vehicle is WV road safe or not. I do so by doing one of two things. One is by placing a 5 day reject sticker on the vehicle, which then the vehicle can only be driven to and from a shop for repairs, and the other is putting a new inspection sticker on the vehicle, that passes the inspection. I would now like to address your breakdown of complaints, but before I do I would like to mention the parking brake that you had mentioned. Had I not already been overwhelmed by the other issues with your vehicle, I probably would have caught this, which is an automatic fail. Now, the following is a breakdown of your complaints: * License Plate Light: The driver side light fixtures was completely missing, leaving a hole (which is also a reason it would fail). There was a light attached to the vehicle above the center of the license plate, this was not manufactured this way, therefore would not pass inspection. *Bondo: The Bondo that was put in place, in the fender wells, was cracked and chipping/falling out/off. There were also holes in the rocker arms and the floor, that did not have Bondo in them. * Rear Bumper: Yes, you're correct in saying that there is nothing wrong with the bumper COVER. However, the metal bumper, under the cover, is rotting away. * Tiree: Your two front tires had unusual wear. This is something that possibly could have been avoided by something as simple as a tire alignment. A possible explanation for the other mechanic shop said there was nothing wrong with your tires is because they may not be certified to do inspections. * Exhaust: The hanger for the exhaust is not attached to, both, the exhaust and the vehicle. This does not make your car loud, it means you run the risk of the exhaust falling off while driving the vehicle. * Flex Pipe: This attaches the exhaust to the manifold, making this a factory part of the exhaust. This was coming apart I'm multiple places. *Brakes: Even though you did not mention this, I am going to include it. The dust shields of both back brakes are rotting away. This does not impair the brakes, but the inspection guidelines means it is a fail. If, after this response you find yourself needing more information, please feel free to contact the WV STATE INSPECTION BOARD, in Charleston, WV. Just please note, they may request that you bring your vehicle to them, to be inspected by their mechanic.
