The business addressed the issues within the complaint, but the consumer either a) did not accept the response, OR b) did not notify BBB as to their satisfaction.

I got the billing on Feb *, 2024. Sponsor Energy overcharged me at wrong rate for gas service. and refused to adjust the correct rate. This is the customer service replied me ********************** simply means that you either get a small credit (if you under-used based on the estimated buy) or a small charge (if you over-consumed based on the estimated buy) as we have to pre-purchase fixed gas on your behalf based on the predicted volume of natural gas needed for your home. This means that if you use more than what we pre-purchased for you, for that month, we need to "buy" you additional natural gas at the current market price and charge you that rate for the over consumption but if you used less than what was estimated, we sell the extra gas you did not use back to the market and credit it onto your ****** This is my first time to hear this from this company. I feel it is not proper way to deal with us and proper way to do business. Based on the customer service's email, I asked questions. Now they ignored my email.

I've been in ********** for a while now and Sponsor Energy has not only saved me money but helped me when I was between jobs. They were kind and compassionate about my situation and worked with me until I got back on my feet.I felt I needed to speak out as it is to easy for keyboard warriors like ************ to besmirch a company because why, they asked to be compensated for power you, the customer, already consumed? How dare they!!! Imagine if a restaurant let you walk out without paying? Betcha the *** doesn't let you not pay taxes. How about that mortgage? When was the last time a bank said, 'Aw, don't worry about it'.Sponsor Energy gives hundreds of thousands of dollars to charity every year, but they themselves are not a charity. They are a business that sells power and gas to customers that are willing to pay for these services. They will always work with anyone that is willing to work with them.I speak from experience.
