I am writing to formally lodge a complaint against North Hill Mazda located in ******* regarding a highly unsatisfactory experience I had while attempting to lease a 2025 Mazda 3 GS-L AWD.I had arranged to pick up the vehicle on October 4th 2024, which was the designated delivery date. However, upon inspecting the car, I noticed multiple scratches on the exterior. As I was leasing the car, I did not want to be held liable for these pre-existing damages. I requested the dealership to provide a letter confirming that these scratches existed before delivery and that I would not be held responsible for them upon returning the vehicle.The letter they initially provided was unprofessional: it was not on dealership letterhead, it lacked a proper signature with any identifying name or position, and no dealership seal or stamp was provided. When I asked for these items to be added, the dealership's staff responded disrespectfully and dismissively, stating, "No one has stamps or seals these days."Further exacerbating the situation, their finance manager conducted two separate credit checks on me without my consent. When questioned about this, she provided conflicting explanations and eventually claimed it was a system error that only showed as two checks but was actually one. However, when pressed for further clarification and requested to correct the error with **********, the dealership refused to take any responsibility. I also requested a letter from them admitting the credit check error, which they again refused to provide.Due to this unprofessional conduct, the lack of transparency, and the overall disrespectful behavior of the dealership staff, I felt I had no choice but to cancel my lease agreement and leave the dealership.
