              On or about july 24 2024 I met with Student Works local operator to get a quote to paint exterior of my home.On July 26 2024 we met with Student Works local operator and agreed to $3880.83 to paint exterior of house. He asked for 20 % deposit of $776.17 which we paid. On August 8 I discussed with Student Works local operator about cancelling the job and asked about a refund of the deposit. He said it was non refundable so I indicated I would call Monday August 12 to let him know if we were going to continue with Student Works painting the house or if we were cancelling. I returned a call from the local operator August 13 and indicated we would be painting the house ourselves and discussed refunding the deposit. He indicated that he could not refund it so I requested a phone number to talk to someone in his head office and he said he would get it to me. As of now i have not received any feedback from him or Student Works. As this company. Claims to support the ********** and as I am a 64 year man on disability due to ** I was hoping for some compassion and refund my deposite of $776.17. Also is there not a 10 business day window to cancel a contract?

              Gord **** were skeptical at first hiring Student Works Painting to do work on our buildings, but after dealing with ****** and his crew and seeing the professional work they did, they certainly changed our minds and would recommend them to others. GREAT JOB!!!
