Extremely poor experience. Does not even deserve 1 star, but lower rating option is not possible. It is now June 6 and our mortgage is still not finalized. We first contacted on March 28 at which time they claimed to be able to secure the lowest 5 year fixed mortgage rate for us below 3%. We sent them the requested documentation, we opened an account at Meridian. They then informed me that the Meridian rate was only available for first time buyers, but there was a slightly higher rate available at 3.14%. On 3/31 they sent us the Mortgage Approval and shortly after, the Mortgage commitment. We provided all the paperwork which was required. Since then we have been asked to show more and more documentation and information. We have jumped through every hoop possible. We have paid over $300 to have our house appraised (of which I have requested a copy and still have not received anything to date). ** ******* *** ** * ******** ***** *** **** ***** ** ***** ** *********** ** ******* ************** We have paid penalties to *** to convert our mortgage to open, and paying a very high interest for it. AND YET OUR MORTGAGE HAS STILL NOT BEEN FINALIZED. It has been over two months and we are well past the renewal date. * **** ** ********* ****** ****** ** *** **** *********** ******* and there is no reason why this has dragged on as long as it did. ** **** ******** ********* ******* If we would have renewed with *** ******* ** ***** ** * **** ***** ***** * our rate would have been 3.49% on a 5 year fixed mortgage with a lot less hassle and stress. Interest rates are creeping higher and higher at a rapid rate. We feel as though we have been strung along. This company is highly ***********.
