This review is a warning for anyone having services performed by Joshua at The TV Gurus. On the surface he seems nice and professional. I hired Josh based on all these great reviews but I caught him on camera showing the true nature of his deceitful tactics. I paid him to install my home theater equipment and paid for high-end name brand equipment. What Josh installed in my walls and ceiling were sub-standard ****** products. He ended up repaying me thousands of dollars after I threatened him with legal action and had him sign a promissory note to ensure that he paid me what we agreed he would pay. I am sure I am not the first person he has done this to, more than likely I was just the first one to actually catch him on video. I am posting this review because I want to make sure no one else is taken advantage of the way he so easily attempted to take advantage of me.

Keeping emotions out of this. We did everything to make it right for you. We made numerous attempts to correct the issue but seems no matter what there was never a possible way to please. We stand behind our character and our word. If we say we were going to do something we followed through with those exact words.

However if you'd like to add emotions then I could add at how you tried to bring my deceased family into your threat one day towards me and then the second I told you I'd do anything to make everything correct you flip it to the friendly phase and claim how you would never do anything to tarnish our companies reputation and great reviews. But now it seems no matter what I did everything you asked for to correct the situation until the second I pick up the material.

Joshua McGahee, Your response is as expected and I am not at all surprised. Your family had nothing to do with your actions so there would be no need to threaten them. The only threat you responded to was that of legal action which I am happy to provide documentation of for anyone that wishes to review it.
The thing I have tried to impress upon you is that character is defined by your actions when no one is watching. You have proven that you were not trust worthy. To be frank, this review isn't for you. My review was a warning for OTHERS who may be too quick to trust as I was. It's a lesson I hope no one else has to learn the hard way.
Finally, regarding making it "right" : there really is no such thing in this case. What you did was dishonest and showed a lack of integrity. Paying restitution for damages you caused doesn't negate your responsibility for causing the damage. It simply means you got caught doing something wrong and as a result you had to pay me back. Paying me back is simply a consequence for your actions and in no way does that erase your actions. I do hope you understand and I wish you all the best despite how you abused the trust I had for you. Be blessed and go in grace.
