America's Home Place was great in the beginning with all the information provided of being able to build a custom home on your land. Now that the home is built the quality of work is really beginning to show. The cabinets are chipping, the ceiling still has issue with the nails popping through. My garage walk through door and foundation is allowing water to penetrate the home due to poor design and finish work. The actual garage door doesn't allow water to penetrate the garage. It is causing mold in the garage and had destroyed the sheet rock. It was a horrible experience once we began the build process. The only person I enjoyed working with was Doug who I believe is now at the Huntsville location. Smoke and Mirrors is is the name of the game with the Oxford location. When I asked for something as simple as the contractors list, Danny got and attitude and refused to give it to me. This left me with a uneasy feeling that something foul was in the water. So I got it from my city hall and notice that some of the work performed did not have the proper company attached and one company was missing altogether. So I can only assume that the contractor who performed the work was unlicensed. I was told when we sign the contract that only licensed contractors would be used. So buyers beware and check the reviews on all the material and sub contractors that will be used on the job.
